Currently, I have DA, and planning to get a faust as well. I prefer 3 weapon slots, so I'm not sure whether an Argent Peacemaker or a Callahan fits me better as a backup gun. The concept is that to use DA and GF to handle everything except beast and fiend, and use either peacemaker or callahan for the pierce weakness (especially those dang devilite). But the problem is that wolver and devilite will dodge gunshots. And I heard that callahan's shot can actually knock them down so they can stop dodging. But AP is also useful to me since I'd like to use the gun to pick off gun puppies and shooting switches. But the dodge problem might drastically reduce AP's usefulness. So, what do you guys say. AP or callahan?

Personally, I find a Callahan

Personally, I find a Callahan more useful. I prefer doing more damage over having a spiffy gun that shoots fast.

Argent Peacemaker is a must

Argent Peacemaker is a must have gun if you plan on doing anything in FSC.

Callahan is a niche gun mostly for Gunslingers. It's mainly used for dealing with small numbers of beasts and fiends.

Roles

You have a lot of different roles that the gun is trying to fill, one gun isn't going to be sufficient for all those scenarios.

Beasts and Fiends - get a Callahan, or better yet, get a Flourish. AP is going to do poor damage to beasts due to its elemental component. Also pretty sure it doesn't have knockdown for these types, not sure though.

FSC - Callahan is usable, but slow. An AP will serve you better here due to its clip size and mobility. Some gun is practically required for Vanaduke.

Gun Puppies - Callahan and AP are going to do poor damage to them due to their piercing component. It'll eventually work, but you'll be shooting for a very long time. Either get an Alchemer, a Blaster, one of the new guns, or just use your DA up close. A DA can take out a gun puppy in 2-4 hits depending on how many are in your party.

Switches - any gun will do
