Greetings my fellow knights! If you like a promising clan that's dedicated to its members and helps them then this clan is for you! We are sometimes a family-friendly guild that is looking for new knights to join in our missions to reach Lord Vanaduke and to keep on poking him until he opens the core gate for us. The clan seeks to gather a diverse group of players to take on what the clockworks have in store. Will you rise to the call?

What we are:

We're a group of literate members that play Spiral Knights. We're pretty open when it comes to accepting new members that are also literate and able to contribute to discussions. We pride ourselves in our ability to stick together and tough out any situation that comes along. We are active in all the major ladder sites and have one of the best records in history. The Dragon Knights continue to get stronger. You won't find a better, tougher, or more professional bunch of guys and gals then those you see here.

Despite being a casual guild, we're serious about your ability to fight.

Mature and intelligent. Even though we start the tavern fight sometimes, we are a chivalrous and knightly bunch.

Casual and fun. We don't hold schedules and meetings, and "do stuff when people are online."

Our goal:

To improve ourselves as players in both skill and equipment,

To excel in supporting our guild mates and community,

To form quality friendships that last beyond this game, and

To have fun playing Spiral Knights.

Please note: We don't care whether you're rocking 5-star Vog gear or a 0-star Spiral Sallet. What matters to us, above all else, is your personality, activity and dedication for the future.

In-Game Guild Rules:

Act with civility while you carry the guild name.
Strictly no begging, or harassment of other members of the guild.
No slurring, racial or otherwise.
Do not spam guild chat, or use it to discuss touchy topics like politics or religion.
Be respectful and courteous to other players, this includes people outside the guild.
Don't be a troll or feed the trolls.
Respect all guild members, we grow as a team. Not individuals.

Requirements:

You must show Patience, Honor, Integrity, and the willingness to work and function as a Team.
Be basically the first two points in "What we are". We want people who can handle a joke and not start internet drama
Maturity, of course
Any tier or experience
Any play style
You must not be Deceptive.
You must show some exceptional positive combat attributes, such as understanding the situation, working with the rest of the party, and not just running head-first into chambers and rooms. Remember, we always work as a team!
Be willing to learn. We want you to take something out of this guild, and what we offer is knowledge of how to not suck at Spiral Knights in general.
Last but not least, Have fun!

Note: We ask you must be a fun and respectful gamer, to myself, to each other, and to the other players of Spiral Knights. This means, do not hinder or harm any other person's gaming experience. It also means that you must show me, Dracowrath, my due respect as Guild Master and also for my hard work in Rescue Camp, using only 1 character on my 1st try from the beginning of the game, to set up the Dragon Knights Guild. It costs quite a bit of Crowns and Crystal Energy to make this happen, and i have done many journeys into the Training Mission in order to accomplish this.

More Notes: Even if you don't meet the first requirement, we will make an exception for the right knight. Upon being accepted into Dragon Knights, you will remain a Recruit until I or the other GM judge you worthy of promotion based on your ability to fight. If you wish to be promoted to member status or higher, you will be required to sign up on our community clan site which we will message you in-game with full instructions on what to do.

About the leader:

Howdy, my IGN is Dracowrath, I am a college student from England, UK. The first MMO I play'd was AQW and I have leaded a clan from there for years, finally expanding to this one. So yes, I have a lot of experience as a leader. I prefer leading in a structured style, however I will not force any strict or strange rules down on anyone. I have been playing SK for about a month now, and have tier 3 access.

Why do you want to join our guild? I want to join because soloing tier one and two is getting boring and lonely. It'll be nice to be part of a guild in a game that encourages people to play in parties. The main reason is that I want to make friends and have fun.

Usually I am online in the evenings for about 2-3 hours depending on the day (sometimes I am online longer sometimes shorter or not at all, afternoons till evenings' days are also possible dependent on IRL freedom)

What's your strongest skill in-game? (Bomber, Swordsman, Gunner)
As the title states I am a support-bomber. I like the role of being a supporter with status effects more than blasting as I feel it can be an important part of making a party more effective. Poisoning when healers are up, freezing mobs, helping with area of effect damage and shocks to interrupt attackers or frost or fire immunes. Every now and than using a graviton to collect enemies to keep others out of harms' way by freezing them into place and increasing the effectiveness of my area of effect bombs. I have decent understanding of the game mechanics and am a team player willing to learn and develop.

At the moment I possess the Volcanic Demo helm and armor, an Aegis Shield becoming a Heater Shield very soon and the complete arsenal of support bombs: Ash of Agni, Freezing Atomizer, Toxic Atomizer, Lightning Capacitor and Graviton Bomb (I have low CTR UVs on all my bombs which will enable me to reach max. CTR on all bombs at lvl 10 with the Volcanic Demo set). They are all in the process of becoming 5* bombs with exception of the Ash of Agni.

WoW (hardcore progression) and Diablo2 (if you count this as a MMO)

The one I created myself, but due to time limitations was not able to make it grow into something.

As the rules state this guild seems to meet all my requirements I seek in a guild. Also Seeing the GM is from the UK makes me believe there are european players in this guild to match my play times with.

Dark chocolate with Chili peppers, the burn after the sweetness makes it an exceptional combination.

How often do you play? Fairly regularly once per day, just until my mist runs out. I occasionally stand around loitering in hubs, spouting nonsense and mad insight.

What's your strongest(ahahahah!) skill in game? I run and hide behind eerily weak firearms and status effects. I love negative status effects.
What other mmos have you played? I played a few MU*'s back in the day, but the sort of pay-to-play games I've seen have never really caught my interest. I like the graphic style and how friendly people seem to be here, though - so it's the first MMO you could say I've really played.

Guild experience in Spiral Knights? None so far. Does volunteer work count? I'm used to working in decentralized places. Hierarchical thinking is my weak point!... But if it helps people, I think I might just turn over a new leaf, and give it a try.

Why do you want to join our guild? I received a message interesting and intriguing. I'm pretty quiet and reclusive, but if I knew I was hanging out with potential friends in my spare time, that would be lovely. I'd be glad to trade tips on nice recipes for the summer, gardening, or building portable shrines while we're at it!.. In other words, I'd enjoy socializing with y'all!

What is your favorite chocolate and why? Hand-made. I love to roll the darkest chocolate, completely unsweetened, into fine truffles; and at the center of each truffle place a tiny chunk of marzipan. The bitterness of the chocolate contrasts perfectly with the rich, almond scent of the chocolate... One of these days, I'll be poisoned with arsenic or something, hah!

About yourself: I can be the sort of person who thinks that logic is unnecessary, making huge leaps of mind from one topic to another; I ramble and talk and think about things that don't relate to anything in particular, except when they do. Despite my spontaneity, I can be quite boring; or perhaps my drive is too quiet to be noticed. I argue entirely too much, read even more, and think further still - whether or not those thoughts have merit is a discussion indeed. I like to tell stories to people and make up mythologies. I'm superstitious, a bit of a loser, but a good chef... About yourself: I love gaming, especially hack n' slash rpgs. I'm terrible at them, but they are just so much fun! So when I saw this game for free on Steam, it was an instant purchase. I do have a bit of a temper and it's easy to set me off, but it never shows when I'm online. It usually just involves me yelling at the moniter. I try to be the funny guy, but I usually end up being an idiot. Either way, I still offer comic relief. I never use profanity. The very concept of children using foul language disgusts me. Although I have a temper, it's hard to get under my skin unless you know me and my weaknesses really well. I look forward to seeing you on the battlefield!
