How did you spend your Power Surge Weekend?

Hey knights, considering Power Surge Weekend is about over, I was wondering how you guys spent this awesome weekend.
I grinded IMF for 45 tokens and grinded some JK for a few tokens and pretty much racked up heat on a lot of my items.

I did a good amount of FSC
I did a good amount of FSC solo runs. I didn't get very much time to play this weekend though, considering my girlfriend was all over me. And my cousin came to visit for a couple days. But at least I used my mist each day.

Still the same as always, 1-2 hours per day and I'll back to my work on my com.
Aside from that, I bought a fiery vaporizer II ctr med for 20k crown, paid for my vog coat / cap recipe.

Died. Alot.
With the Power Surge, most of my friends got... daring. Made many visits to Firestorm, and had two aborted attempts to pull a Dauntless Delver. Damn devilities.
Made enough crowns to upgrade my Atomizer into a Shivermist!

I really wish they had warned
I really wish they had warned us further in advance, that way we could know it's coming and plan ahead of time. The fact that we were told so shortly before, it clashed with my real life schedule. Telling us a couple weeks ahead would have really been helpful. I didn't get near as much done as I had hoped.

Earned Dauntless Delver,
Earned Dauntless Delver, Cradle and All, and Tier 3 Survivor in the same solo run without using any Crystal Energy.
But Steam erased my Cradle and All achievement when I logged out and back in. >:C
So I earned it again today. It worked this time. Begone, glitch.

I did dauntless delver, got
I did dauntless delver, got the last of my four star gear to level 10, and then crafted my first four five star items. So now I have four five star shields. That's right, four five star shields before I craft any other five star items. Your shield is your most important item, as it's the only one that can prevent you from getting hit in the first place. Everything else can wait.

4 volcanic iron
4 plasma cell
3 shadow steel
and somewhere in the realm of 15~20 warp dust and bushy tails each.
Hard to keep track, considering I AH'd it every other run.
Best run?

Don't know about steam accounts but i got an email titled "Spiral Knights: Power Surge Weekend, July 15-17!" on 15 July 2011 03:06 AM, then there is always the announcements section on the forums, players also repost info about stuff like that on the steam forums. And there is also nick's twitter, and the SpiralKnights twitter. PR fail? Hardly.

Twitter is the current bubble of PR fail. It fails real hard and doesn't even know.
Not everyone:
- uses twitter
- reads these forums
- reads steam forums
What I do, for example, is read Steam news and my email, but Steam users didn't need to register an email to receive notifications. Basically, we (Steam users) don't receive any sort of notification in Steam about Spiral Knights evens when we don't play it.
And thats a fail.

The official Spiral Knights forums is where to look for announcements about Spiral Knights, as well as in in-game mail. There is an RSS feed available if you prefer not to check the Announcements section actively. Channels on other sites, while we do try to cover them, should be considered auxiliary.
That said, teos_ef, I am sorry you didn't hear about PSW in time.

Attempted a Twin run on
Attempted a Twin run on Friday, died a bunch of times due to ice ripping apart my shield in the first stratum, then died more in the boss stratum. Gave up after wasting over 200 energy or so, had about 235 CE and 100 ME when I started, when I stopped I had around 85 left. Didn't bother with the event for the rest of the days cause I was pissed how cheap the ice ripped my energy away from me when I wants to have fun, stupid ice stratum wasting all my health pills. :<

OK, so why is so much information on SK released by developers first/exclusively on twitter/facebook? I have no problems with posting stuff other places too, but why are even press releases not posted to the SK website?
I would like to thank those users who repost stuff from twitter/facebook to this forum, you shouldn't have to do OOO's job for them.

Prior to getting our announcement duckies in a row, it was sometimes the way you describe it. These days, though, when an official announcement goes up in the Announcements section, then it goes to Twitter and FB if deemed necessary. How do I know that? Because I'm the one posting to Twitter and FB. You won't see us posting release notes first, or exclusively, to Twitter or FB.
Now, if you're talking about teasers prior to a content release, the way we did for IMF, that's different. The nature of Twitter and FB makes them better channels for that sort of thing. Consider it a bonus for following those. They get reposted immediately by players on the SK forums anyway.

For PSW, I noticed that
For PSW, I noticed that increased run profits led to higher CE prices. Consequently, I liquidated my CE reserves and converted them to CR.
Second, I also noticed that the increase in players doing runs led to an abundance of recipes and materials in the AH, which drove down prices. Naturally, I took this opportunity to load up on as many recipes and materials as I could, with the ambition of later reselling them for profit.
I also did a T3 run for fun.

I logged on couple hours
I logged on couple hours after it started went down to T3 then got the maintenance message was pissed off as usual having just started a run so I go to the terminal went back to Haven used the rest of energy to craft then proceeded to waste my mist the next day on crafting as well, making far more CR/CE just crafting instead of actually playing which is really discouraging me from doing anything else and kinda killing the game, in the 3 months I've been playing I've made more on a single UV craft than I had combined in those 3 months delving into the clockworks. Okay maybe not as much but damn near close but that was one craft I've crafted other items worth just as much but I'm using them, still having lots of T5 gear I just don't see much point in actually going into the clockworks anymore.
Arena runs. Lots of arena runs. Wasn't able to spend a whole lot of time on SK, but I still managed to rake in enough crowns to get 400 CE.
