which one is better for money and heat and is just easier. i have never done a Roarmulus Twins twin run, only jelly king
Jelly king or Roarmulus Twins
Ironclaw Munitions Factory is definitely EASIER. Once you get a couple runs in you'll have no problem dodging missiles and avoiding shock floors. On top of that the boss is a cakewalk compared to the other three. It practically gives out tokens meaning you can pick up those awesome shock bombs in just a handful of runs.
Royal Jelly Palace is packed with enemies and because of that it gives out considerably more heat. However, this means you have to rely more on your fighting skill than your ability to dodge projectiles so there isn't a strict pattern you'll be able to memorize. Jelly King is also considerably more of a traditional boss fight as well meaning you'll be up in it's face at all times. You will probably die quite a bit early on if you're aiming for those tokens, but the Sealed Sword is definitely worth it.
I believe after RJP got balanced it give out about the same amount of crowns as IMF. Maybe just a little bit more. Regardless, it's definitely more worth your while.
The Royal Jelly Palace still gives more heat and crowns than IMF (its about 500 crowns more) but IMF is much easier to deal with. Roarmulus Twins are barely a boss as long as you know what you're doing to fight them. In my opinion, IMF also has better rewards but thats all personal preference.
Yhea, but If you don't have freinds interested in IMF you'll join three noobs who dont understand what "you wait untill they hit eachother with missiles" and "no those lasers hurt you" mean.
JK is obviously the best one. Twins is super easy though anyone can do it lol! Jelly is so hard though, it's like a beginner tier 3 boss...
how much crown difference is in JK then ICMF? if ICMF is easier and doesnt have that big of a crown diff, then i might start doing it.
Jelly King. And I find the Roarmulus thing extremely annoying. The boss is not more difficult than JK, its just that you need to put more effort into it, if that makes any sense. And all the runs for the Ironclaw Munitions that I have made offer horrible heat and crowns. DO JELLIES.
Roarmulus items are horrible, better off doing snorlax
Roarmulus items are horrible
Don't make me whack you with a newspaper.
Pulsar is so far my favorite gun.
I suggest you to do only enough runs to get the token items of your interest (in my case I just wanted one pulsar to build it into a Gigowatt pusar)
Then forget about Roarmus and do JK since they are more profitable and very easy to do with a nightblade or a faust
in my opinion jelly king is way more easier, you complete it easy in 1 minutes with a tier 4 sword(vile striker the one im using)
IMF just take a lot of time, those robots that come out are annoying also
Comparing the two:
- Royal Jelly Palace is worth more crowns and heat than Ironclaw Munitions Factory.
- Royal Jelly Palace requires less skill then Ironclaw Munitions Factory.
- The levels before both Roarmulus and Jelly King can be completed with 2* gear.
- Jelly King requires at least a 4* sword and 3* armor to take down.
- Roarmulus can be taken down with 2* gear.
So keep doing Jelly King runs if you want easy heat and crowns. Run the Munitions Factory if you want bark modules or want a challenge.
--edit--
how much crown difference is in JK then ICMF? if ICMF is easier and doesnt have that big of a crown diff, then i might start doing it.
According to some runs I did recently, I got 3434 crowns at Royal Jelly palace and 2084 crowns at Ironclaw Munitions Factory. So that's 1350 more crowns at Royal Jelly Palace. (These runs were done after they rebalanced the floor payouts.)
Well, you can kill Roarmulus faster. The IMF is pretty easy. RJP is way harder but much more rewarding. Antigua and Sealed Sword beats the Pulsar and whatever bomb the IMF gives. I'd go Jelly, but if you have CE that you'd like to spare to make crowns/heat, Roarmulus is faster.
Thank you for reviving an old thread...
Also, the Polaris and Voltaic Tempest are still two of the most powerful weapons of the game. The Divine Avenger, Gran Faust, Argent Peacemaker and Sentenza are still good options, and I guess they are used more than the Polaris and VT.
I prefer RJP. I find it easier. The royal jelly boss isn't based on chance. The monsters are also unbelievably predictable. No annoying shock traps/rockets.
Music is hilarious too. Kudos to Mr. Mack.
Thank you for reviving an old thread... 1 month instead of 1 year. It's an improvement, I guess?
RT isn't based on chance, btw. You can strongly affect what happens by mastering the switches. In the last phase when they start shooting laser, you can put both twins into deactivated mode at the same time (so teammates can split up and speed up the fight significantly).
Technically, both give from 2100-2700 cr per first 2 levels, and 100-600 per boss level. RT is easy after mastering switches, spawns and lag points (like i did) Its like snarbolax to me now.
JK is still hard as jellies are unpredictable and have a wide radius of attack, but after mastering spawns it is almost as easy as RT. just cautiously spam pulsar. like a Stratum 3 snarbolax.
Jellies aren't unpredictable... they just attack very frequently compared to other enemies.
When I drag my alt in JK, on the second level I'd let a jelly kill my alt first. The jelly would walk/jiggle next to my alt, then body smash repeatedly, one smash per second. My alt would die after 3 to 4 smashes.
Since they only have two attack moves, their AI is also pretty simple. Without a target, they chill about; with a target, when range is right for spikes, they spike. When in melee range, they smash. Otherwise they move closer to target.
Without ASI you shouldn't frequently use the full combo of a 3-swing sword against jellies, unless you are pretty sure you can fire off the last swing and interrupt them before they launch a body smash. Note that you have to interrupt *before* they start to smash, or you will just trade hits with them. Using 2 swings and shield will keep you completely safe.
JK and RT Both gve around the same money. For heat in RT depth 15 gives more than 16 and 17. For JK the heat is about the same in 16 and 15. But in the boss for JK u get more heat and money than you u would in RT boss. So i say Jk but it also depends on your gear.
JK has more enemies but is harder than RT. Since it has more enemies, then it has higher crown payouts and offers more heat. RT is an annoying maze with not as much monsters in JK. In my opinion JK is easier than RT, but RT is easy if you use your brains. JK tokens can get you a sealed sword and Antigua. Also i think it gives Jelly helm and mail. RT gives quicksilver helm and armor (i think) and shock bomb. JK's pre-boss levels are not that easy but the boss itself is very easy. RT pre-boss levels are a boring endless maze but the boss is easy with your brains.
I don't think the OP is all that interested in an answer any more.

How many dozen times does the game have to say "Royal Jelly" before people get it into their heads?

And the allegedly "experienced" players are just perpetuating the misinformation!
y so serious about how does the majority call RJ/ JK?
back to right track:
i can complete both solo with 0-1 death using appropiate 3* fully heated gears.
For jelly the major threat comes from the top right corner room of D15 and the boss itself. to save time i usually skip that room and save as many poison vials/ health capsules/ curse vials/ mecha knights as possible before entering D16.
for RT the major threat comes from the missiles puzzle and the mecha knights, getting a wise owlite shield helps better. with avenger and silversix i don't even need to care about the quicksilvers and gremlins. however i would be interested if the run would be easier if i use blazebrand or even blizzbrand.
oh and about the reward and heat, both are comparably the same around 2.3k~2.7k Cr
jelly run gets lots of primal sparks but RT run seldoms gives forge sparks.
for the tokens, 15 jelly gems can be exchanged for a 3* brute jelly gear and npc'ed for 3.5k; 15 barks modules can be exchanged for 2* weapons; 20 barks for 3* quicksilver gear... well this set looks cool :D
didn't mention about unbinding the boss tokens weapons and resell at AH
You lose so much: not just the drops from that room, but the boxes in the reward room, too. That room is actually easy if you don't aggro the puppies till you're done dealing with the jellies and lumbers (in that order).
Why do you use ele weapons against gremlins?
probably need to develop better skills for that room :/
from what i experienced, gremlins aren't a great problem at IMF, avenger is still ok for that even with the elemental immunity. if i expand one weapon slot i will bring either blackhawk or silent night blade into it.
If you just hug the right side as much as possible, the puppies shouldn't even shoot at you. That means you're just fighting jellies and two lumbers. Or you can rush over and deal with the bottom left puppy first, opening up more room to manoeuvre. Either works. (I used to move up and deal with the top left puppy as well, but I came to realise that that was pointless.)
It's true that you can deal with the grems even with their resistance. But there are quite a few slimes as well, so I think it's worth bringing a shadow weapon, overall. I'd go with Blackhawk instead of Silversix. The Avenger can deal with all the constructs you'll encounter, and the main use of a gun there is for switches anyway. Might as well bring one that'll help you against two more enemy types, too.
You can run along the spikes (except the vertical lane on the left side - run up vertically along side it). If you never shoot the puppies they won't wake up at that distance.
You can shoot the explosive blocks and use sword charges as you run along the spikes. They'd be all dead in 2-3 loops.
Lets see....royal Jelly gives out a tad more heat and cr,but the roarmulous twins are insanely easy and fun....As for token rewards, royal jelly has the sealed sword, which can be upgraded into a couple of the best swords of the game, and the antigua whose upgrades are great for various purposes, and the brute jelly set which can also be crafted.Roarmulous twins tokens however can be exvchanged for a variety of items:pulsar, which when upgraded to polaris is one of the best utility guns in the game.Theres also the catalyzer, which is better for soloing and is good only in certain circumstances. The static capacitor is a shocking bomb that is very useful as a crowd control bomb as the shock can keep monsters locked and slow down them and their attacks. The quicksilver set is a good piercing set,and when upgraded to mercurial has movement speed increase, which can be useful, but most people go for skolver as a piercing set due to its sword bonus. But in the end,Id say run the royal jelly to get a sealed sword, and an antigua if you like. Upgrade the sealed sword into faust which can be used to run RJP more easily,or into avenger to run the roarmulous twins easier and faster to get the pulsar or other twins gear. But when you take the heat and cr from both and put that with the token items, theyre about the same.
tl;dr: dont be lazy,read it.
~Magnicth the Dragon Mage
In my opinion, royal jelly is more of a JUST HIT AND KILL boss and has a harder difficulty, but the roamulus twins...just watch the video by Nusqual/Magnus...
Spiral Knights - Ironclaw Munitions Factory - The Roarmulus Twins
Jelly King has much more enemies and less running around an annoying obstacle course. That means that JK is a little more difficult but it's worth more.
