I don't know if that its a bug, but my Gigawatt Pulsar deals elemental damage near from enemy and normal damage when it grows (more far).
So my gun VS construct and undead deals more damage when its near from enemy. Damage if it were to close I would use my sword.
PS:Sorry for my english because i'm brazilian so i don't know too much speak english.

It's right there near the top of the page... Yes, it's a bug. A GM has already come out to confirm this and also said it will be fixed next patch.
