Hello hello and welcome to my first thread where ill hopefully wont make a total arse out of myself.
Anyway Ive been brainstorming about some new monsters that would be cool to be implemented in the game without giving the guys actually making it a hard time, so i was busy thinking about monsters with poison/shadow attacks but that was quite overused, as i was going to bed then it hit me, SLEEP! we have like what, 1 monster(slime at tier 3) that is sleep themed? so anyway here are some ideas.

Yawncat (horrible name gimme some ideas)

Ok basicly its the same thing as any regular Kat (shoots sleep bullets, does shadow damage), ok but how schould i look like?
well combine http://wiki.spiralknights.com/File:Monster-Spookat.png with http://images.neopets.com/items/clo_eyrie_sleepinghat.gif and hell, here's the result: http://www.2shared.com/photo/L6PpnHpt/drowsykat.html

Drowsytail (horrible? i like it but idk about you guys)

Basicly a wolver curled up sleeping with ZZZZ.... above its head (image coming soon) , anyone who comes to close will wake them up and they will start attacking you, their slower but stronger and have a small chance to inflict sleep on you when you hit them.

Nightmare wolver.

Basicly a dark and twisted version of your average everyday alpha wolver, whenever it howls it "scares" any knights and drowsytail close to it.
when a drowsytail gets scared it becomes faster and becomes stronger, but loses its ability to inflict sleep on you when you hit them.
When a knight gets the "scared" status the knight will run faster but their attack power will be alot lower.

Fire/freeze/blood/poison/fire/nightmare/static/ Ghast (again bad with names)

Its slow, it has lots of health (like a pit boss) doesnt do much damage, but when someone is within a certain range, it increases their status effect.

fire - More damage
poison - Even lower attack power
sleep - take damage overtime while asleep
freeze - when unfrozen receive alot of damage
curse - cant heal
Shock - More spazzes :P
etc etc.

A bomb?

Works like a vaporizer only last longer, whoever is in the ring of smoke, increases their status effect as stated above.

Basicly
Maps
Basicly these monsters would only fit in maps at night, wolvers in the forest/ kats in mansions.

Additional ideas etc.

PILLOWS! yes indeed pillows, basicly their the same as bushes (dropping small coins/harts) but they may drop feathers (like owlite feather)
coming i variations white/red/yellow.

Sleeping hat - Would be fun as a vanity item as a small chance drop from yawnkats.

Lower tier sleep-inducing slimes (ofc)

Anyway thats all i got atm, sorry for the spelling im not english.

so, watcha guys think?

The problem is that most

The problem is that most players in most games think that being crowd controlled is not fun. All you can do is sit there and get frustrated that you can't do anything.

Let's put it this way. If you

Let's put it this way. If you get hit by fire, you can still attack and help your team. If you're cursed, you can still use something or another. If you're inflicted by any status effect, there's always something you can do. Sleep on the other hand, you're stuck sitting in the same spot, until a giant group of enemies all come over and hit you at once. You've died.

Pfft

If they don't want to be crowd controlled then just shield at the right times -- and use long range weapons so as to avoid the chances of getting the Sleep status.

Or maybe, oh I don't know, invest in equipment with UV in Sleep resistance for the Tiers were Sleep inducing monsters dwell. Really, the whole "oh, people don't like getting crowd controlled" is just a big baby excuse from players.

That's what Sleep Resistance is for.
Personally I miss Starlight Cradle levels.

I like this in theory

As long as there aren't a bunch of sleep inducing monsters running around at once, I would love this. It would give my sleep UV a purpose. It would also make remedies even more important, which I wouldn't be opposed to.
