I've run into the issue, where my guild leader has been inactive for, well at least a month now. I don't want to just leave and find another guild, as I have friends in this one and I'm comfortable here. However, the fact that the GM doesn't log on anymore, it kind of impacts the guild. I would be nice to have some kind of feature, where if a GM is offline for a certain number of consecutive days, it passes GM to another player. An active officer, or if none of the officers are active, an active member.
Guild Leader Inactivity
The current GM in my guild, isn't even the original GM. The GM left, and it got passed along as other GMs left. Then they gave it to someone who played at the time, but he's stopped logging on entirely. He was the GM for a couple days, before he just logged off and stopped coming on.
All the members (except for one) in my guild dont go on anymore so I'm stuck as one of the only members left and Im only a veteran so I cant invite new people to join.
@Malleable If the problem persists, you and your friends are welcome to join my guild.
@silver_raven We'd love to have you as well.
My in game name is Prabhu. If you are interested, feel free to contact me.
Yeah, our guild has the same problem, our leader stopped playing.
I know there are plenty of guilds to join and all, but like I said. It would be nice to make a guild you once enjoyed, fun again. Guilds die quickly due to inactive GM's and it really ruins things for the members. It would just be nice to be able to change GMs somehow.
This is a good idea, but guild leadership has to be given back to the Guild Master when he becomes active again. While most people don't plow out their members too much, some really do some extensive testing/research so its only logical to give them back what they have earned by their work. 500CE is also a hefty sum.
