I just started this game and I have to say it's pretty AWESOME...I had lots of fun heading to Haven with people. Anyways, I'm making this thread asking if there's any guild that I could join so I don't feel as lonely and to be guided through the game when I have questions. I still haven't replaced my gear (don't know if that's good or bad). Anyways, thanks for any help.

Keeping your gear for now may

Keeping your gear for now may be for the best. It's advisable to get two-star items as soon as you can rather than buying other zero-star or one-star items. They're usually not worth it (with some exceptions). Just be sure to do your research first to find out what's best for your play-style.

I'd start with reading the

I'd start with reading the New Player Briefing.

Then I'd advice to learn some basic informations about gates and how they are created. Also knowledge about damage types and monsters' resistances and vulnerabilities is essential for good game play.
You may also want to check popular abbreviations for items and other things.

You can play with the arrow

You can play with the arrow keys or the mouse so they probably use the arrow keys to move while fighting :)

Lolz. By default, arrow keys

Lolz. By default, arrow keys turn your player to face the direction you're moving, but WASD move you up/left/down/right, but your player faces your mouse. You can change this in the options->controls screen.

So to move backwards "like Jedi", turn to face some direction and then use the WASD keys (or whatever keys you assigned) to move in the opposite direction. (ie position mouse on the top of the screen and hold S--you will look up but move down).

Oh, and by default the left mouse button movse your character in the direction it's heading. To be on permanent "jedi" mode, instead of having the left mouse button mapped to "move forward" (or whatever it's called), map the mouse button to its opposite, "move backward". Disorienting.
