I have been trying a long time, but no matter how hard I try, I just cant get any recruits.
I am a strong knight, but yet I still ask, how do you make a good guild? How do you get lots of recruits?
Leave tips for me and others wondering.
Thank u!

Creating a guild is about starting with a strong "core" of players (usually 5+) then filling out the rest of the guild. If you're just an individual trying to randomly invite people, the chance of your guild taking off is incredibly low.
Probably the best piece of advice one can get. Also, have a goal to your guild and make sure you share something in common with those core people. This needs to be more than "LOL I can haz guild."
a guild represents something, make that something clear and use it in advertisement/recruit messages
good guilds generally have only 1 thing, that connects them:nice, active members
if u want nice, active members, u will need time and effort to get them together
u cant force people to be online, so u hav to decide, whether inactive members are still welcome to stay and make it evident while recruiting players
if u only target to fill ur guild without any criteria whatsoever, just go through the havens and send random recruit messages to random people, who do not have a guild(make sure to add a little message, if u suspect some1 to be a merchant or a richer player)
As someone who is currently forming what I believe to be a strong guild, I have a few tips apart from having a strong core player base.
As guild master you should be consistent and fair in your rules and judgements. Any hints of favoritism can cause animosity among your players. You should also be an active player yourself and you should probably be an end game player so that you can best help your other guild mates.
You also need a way to communicate effectively to your whole guild. And I don't just mean guild chat. I personally have set up a website for my guild so that I can make announcements and even have forums so my guild mates can discuss amongst themselves.
I believe that at the beginning you should work primarily on building a player base if you don't have a large enough one with your core players. After that you need ways for your guild mates to feel like they're accomplishing things within your guild that they couldn't do outside of it. This means that runs with your guild better be heads and tails above PUGs but also it might be a good idea to organize guild activities like attempting to change a stratum or having guild races.
There is also something to be said about how well known you are as a player. But most of all it will just take lots of time and effort.
I'll leave you with one comment though, if you do happen to become disillusioned with the game or guild. Do take the time to explain it to your guild so that they aren't just suddenly left thinking that you're just on a large break. It'll save you face if you come back to the guild/game and it'll help out your guild mates too.
Hey!!
So, making a strong guild does take a lot of time and effort. You have to be willing and able to put that time and effort towards making a guild.
Now, you have to decide what kind of guild you would enjoy making and working with. Would you want a casual, serious, super serious, or/and active guild? Once you decide these kinds of goals then you need those core people that are willing to help you and back you up in the guild making process. Core people of a guild is ESSENTIAL because it's what keeps the guild going and the members feeling like they are wanted.
Come up with guide lines that you wish your guild members to follow, and be STRONG and FIRM about it. If someone doesn't meet those guide lines don't be rude or hateful just tell them they would be better in a different guild and maybe even recommend a guild that would be good for them.
Being friendly and having good writing skills is very important. Because you'll be advertising your guild on the guild recruitment on the forums and people need to be able to trust and understand you.
I think a guild website in this game is a must. It lets your guild members keep in better touch with you. You can make announcements, the members can goof of together in the forums.
Also, guild events. MOST DEFINITELY. That is sooo important. Knowing that you can have fun and be good in the game is good.
Know what gear you're searching for, at first when I started the guild we just took anyone that was competent at the game. As the popularity grew so did my requirements in joining the guild.
You can check out our website and get some ideas of your own.

Don't be afraid to friend request and chat me up in game.
Another thing that is good is befriending other guild masters in the game. I know Hollafamer sends people my way if they don't have their full 5 star gear. It's good to make friends with others so you can recommend people to other guilds if they don't fit your own. Just because someone may not fit your guild doesn't mean they are a bad player with a bad attitude or anything of the sort. It may just not be working. Most of the time the players notice that for themselves.
The hardest part is starting. You have to find some core members who are active alot, because nobody wants to join a guild with 0 people online. When I first started Motion, it took me about a week just to get 5 members who didn't leave right away.
After that, it was a bit easier. We are now at max members with about 20-30 people online at once during peak times. Rarely is no one online. You have to stay dedicated, and make sure to kick inactives. :)
Another thing you can try, once you have some core members, is sending out a recruitment message in Zone chat. "Motion is recruiting active members! /tell me for info" is one I personally used quite a bit. Just make sure not to spam. Once every 10 minutes is plenty.
After you have about 20+ members you can make a recruitment topic on the forum as well. :)
Also, never ever, ever, offer leadership positions (officer) just to get people to join the guild, it's seriously a bad idea.
Good luck!

Don't do this. Random invitations are annoying, and sending them to people you haven't played with or even spoken to will bring in a lot of poor guild members. I would not want to be a part of a guild which recruits in this way. You want to find people you get along with and enjoy playing with. Otherwise, what's the point?
You come across as a young kid. People generally don't gravitate toward guilds run by children.
Use proper grammar and spelling.
