Just as the title says. It seems a little unnatural for Haven to be always day. Also there is night on Cradle because it is always night at the Rescue Camp.
A day/night cycle for Haven
i think it would be a great addition.
The background picture of this site features night time and it looks vibrant and warm.
+1
i think that is a great idea , so we can know a little bit more about the time of the server.

It would make the world seem more "real". +1
Double post wrathbourne.
Also, how would the sever time be shown? Sun and moon crossing the sky + light effect + gradual changes in the environments? 'Cos I don't think that lower end Pc's can take that strain.
I also support this, how about during Winter, Haven is snowy and wonderful, etc.
This idea sounds good...obviously want to be able to turn it off for some computers. Have it cycle a day every IRL hours so everyone can see it change...maybe have it effect the clockworks themselves. Imagine hitting a GY during the night and everything is stronger with better rewards...and during the day not so much.
Course then people would want seasons next...which could be cool too with beasts & constructs getting a boost during the spring...fiends during the summer (when its hot as....well you know)...Goblins & undead during the fall...and Jelly during the winter
This would make some people seriously think about which levels to go to next e.g. In winter avoiding the ice levels because of enhanced enemies (or aiming for them for better loot), aiming for fire areas (for less damage (slightly nerfed fire?) but less rewards) and the like. No idea how this would effect the bosses and their respective levels though.
mabey shops could close when it gets dark
I don't know about shops and vendors closing down for the night, assuming night was going by server time. It wouldn't be terribly fair to overseas players. It would be neat to have a day/night cycle just for aesthetic purposes, though.
Maybe the planet doesn't rotate and always faces the sun :O
If it does, then out goes the day/night cycle.
Why is that unnatural?
There are (as far as we have seen) more solar systems with more than one sun than solar systems with only one sun.
And as far as I can tell, Cradle is not here in our solar system.
So, with that in mind, Cradle might very well have several suns, and thus making it day at all time.
And about it being dark at the rescue camp.. it might be placed deep within a think forest. That was my first thought when I got there, as the level before it was in day light..
Or; its just a game. lots of games lack day/night cycle..
