Economically Wise to Kill Vanaduke
Hey hows it going guys?
Besides the hot topic of the new NPCs that are released, I was wondering if killing Vanaduke was economically smart use of your time and energy.
I saw the video where somebody solo'd Vanaduke and noticed it was almost THIRTY MINUTES!!
10 CE & 30 Minutes for a single creature.
I understand that you can sell the Ancient Plates for ~30k each at the npc.
But for 30 Minutes can't you do FSC again without Vana and make more crowns?
The only way it takes 30 minutes to kill Vanaduke solo is if you're being extraordinarily conservative with your shots. Normally it takes around 10-15 minutes, the time of an average level.
10 Minutes is far more reasonable to me than 30.
But even at 10 minutes, would you consider killing Vanaduke for the sake of NPCing/Unbinding & Selling roughly 30k if you were looking to solely increase your wallet size?

If my goal was only to gain money then no, I would leave before him.
At the very least, killing Vanaduke is worth 3k in tokens from the vendor. Of course, you have to wait 10 runs to cash that in, but now that you can unbind gear it's likely worth more than that.
Duke takes 5-10 mins if you have a competent team.

And well, people do boss runs for fun as well. if you're out to get crowns, then you ought to do whatever is more profitable for your style of playing. (and on a side note, with a half incompetent four person team, vanaduke takes over an hour.)
You fight Vanaduke for the same reason you would fight the Royal Jelly, or the Snarbolax, or the Roarmulus Twins after going through their stratum: for the Tokens. Whether or not it's worth it is dependent upon the individual.
We're ignoring that soloing Vanaduke is dependent upon player skill. Whereas it takes me 10 minutes, it may take someone else longer or shorter. It is due in part by various tactics and ability.
