Okay. so here is my suggestion. Remove the suggestion forum. Instead, Make a new suggestion form. Something like the support section but probably slower. When a suggestion is posted, it is logged. Other players may view and comment. And when the GMs can get around to it, they can comment, discuss if it would be possible, and either close it, or leave it open for further input. This way, the player knows there suggestions are actually seen and read, and the players know if its possible at all, so that players don't keep re-suggesting something that isn't possible. I'm sure this would be possible, As there's less suggestions here then support requests I send in over a weeks time, And the system is already there, as it works for support requests, it would just need to be copied and modified to be more public for suggestions.

Actually, a form doesn't

Actually, a form doesn't guarantee that suggestions are read any more than this forum already does; it just fills up the support e-mail inbox with ten thousand idiots derping about pets and not wanting to pay for CE. The beauty of confining this behaviour to a forum is that the devs can glance over the topic list going "nah, nah, this again Jesus, nope, hey that's interesting, no way, that could be promising" without having to clear out their newly spam-laded inboxes (which I know isn't a big task, but you know everyone hates having to do it).

The forum already has a Search box. The rampant asininity and repeat topics aren't due to the forum being a broken idea, they're due to people ignoring the fact that's there's already a goddamn Search box.

Few problems

- Compiling a list of suggestions would be very difficult as many ppl see similar suggestions in slightly different ways, which may or may not make them "different." Interpreting which ones are different, or the same, is an entire job it's self which requires keen logical analysis as well as pr skills as they will definitely have a different opinion as the players posted (especially because the players will have many differing opinions)

- Even if there were a compiled list the same suggestions would be posted again, and again... and again... This is even true if there were a compiled list of ideas specifically REJECTED by the GM / game designers... I know because I used to play on a game with a suggestion forum that had a "do not post xxx" thread that listed many suggestions the game developers straight out said NO WAY to. Guess what? We still saw those suggestions 10+ times a week <_<

- Finally: The real purpose of a suggestions forum isn't actually to gain suggestions from the users, it's more a place where players may come to enjoy talking about "what if's." Developers MAY read these, but the point is actually just to let players chat. Sure some suggestion posted in here MAY be developed and added to the game... But for the most part those are going to come internally, not from players posting on a forum (even if a similar suggestion was posted here.)

LOL :D

But anyway, I find the Search function... say, not working as it should be.
I tried to search for something several times and it found totaly irelevant threads.

But yeah, the OP suggested the exact same thing, only a bit worse...

Personally I'd love to see a real system like Jira for this, but the truth is that users generally make very poor reports. And it takes a lot of time for someone to moderate all of it, even here on this forum. I wouldn't mind a comment from the GMs now and then though, just to get the feeling they read some of it. A while ago, someone made a compilation of the most popular suggestions. It would be a good idea for the forum moderators to sticky such posts.
