Hello, I'm new to Spiral Knights, and I have an important question.
I've got the recipe for a great defender, and I have all the required stuff and bought some crystal energy, but, I need to go to a dungeon to get some crowns to craft it.
Understandably, I don't want to use crystal energy while dungeoneering, as it doesn't regenerate, I only want to use mist.
Is there a way to specifically use mist energy, not crystal, or does it do it automatically?
Perhaps someone could answer more accurately, but I think the elevators charge you mist energy if you have any.

If you have more than 10 Mist Energy, the elevator will only take ME.
If you have 0 ME and more than 10 CE, the elevator will only take your CE.
If you have less than 10 ME, the elevator will take all your remaining ME + needed amount of CE
(i.e. if you have 5 ME and 100 CE and you click on DESCEND on the elevator, you will have 0 ME and 95 CE remaining)
if you craft an item that requires 50 Energy and have 25 mist .. it will use your 25 mist plus 25 ce.
You always use mist energy first, unless you run out of mist energy, the game wont touch your CE
For exmaple, lets say you got 7 ME left, and agree to go to the next floor of a dungeon, the game will take your remaining 7 ME and then take 3 CE to complete the 10 Energy quota
