a couple of random observations

Usually I play with the sound off, but today I'm playing with it on. I didn't even "know" there was sound (well, I did, but I didn't pay attention to it). It's like a whole different game!
Oh, and when crossing a bridge in the Clockworks, have you ever looked "down"? The view from Lichenous Lair always gets to me for some reason.
Just saying stuff out loud again. :)
There is a background song for each status effect theme and, in a non-status "monster lair," another background song for each monster type. Non-status Clockwork Tunnels stages have their own theme song as well-- it's the same theme that plays during the practice dungeon and Final Test dungeons from the Rescue Camp.
Royal Jelly Palace uses the regular Slime theme. Firestorm Citadel, Gloaming Wildwoods and Ironclaw Munitions Factory each have unique theme songs.
The crash-landing (tutorial stage) theme song plays again during the last normal battlefields before the bosses in Ironclaw Munitions Factory and Royal Jelly Palace.
My favorite song is probably "Battle 1," which plays in Danger Rooms, Arenas and certain "ambush switches."
EDIT: Oh, and about "looking down," there is a land bridge in the Crash Landing stage, and the camera angle actually automatically adjusts to look straight down-- in order to show you that the planet's got mechanical innards.

Once I picked up a new game shortly after my speakers died. When I finally got around to replacing them a month later, I was surprised to learn that the game had sound effects. I probably shouldn't have been surprised.
It took me several years to realize my old rusty TV only had one speaker, and therefore I'd be missing out on half the audio from my video games when I left them set to Stereo sound.
I fired up Ocarina of Time, set the sound options accordingly and started a new game... and was blown away by the music I'd been missing out on. Video game music is definitely not to be overlooked. :)
I generally don't have sounds in any game. After hearing things like "NOT ENOUGH RAGE NOT ENOGUH RAGE NOT ENOGUH RAGE" over and over, you get sick of game sounds. Sometimes it's necessary, but in games like SK I don't really need them. I'd rather blast some dubsteps into my ear drums as loud as I can. That, or watch a movie/tv. I get bored playing just games, I like to multitask and watch movies a lot.
I never understood why some people don't play video games with the sound on. There's some very talented composers out there, and it's a shame their work goes unappreciated by so many. Sound is also important to game play in lots of games. When I played TF2 many times I heard spies decloaking right behind me, or as a spy, decloaked right behind people who were probably listening to music and couldn't hear me.

Punch reminds me of the Witch Doctor on Diablo III.
Shock stratum has the best music.

Diablo lll needs to be destroyed. R.I.P. Diablo ll
May I borrow your earpiece?
This is Codemister- rainbows make me cry!
Oh yes, i always marvel at the backgrounds during clockworks!
The graphic designers did a really good job :p
anyway.... WHAT YOU PLAYED WITH NO SOUND!?!??!?!??!?!?
That's like eating a $300 dish without any working tastebuds............. I guess?
