Weapons to compliment the calibur

Im looking to see what you guys think are good weapons to compliment the calibur series. I'll give you my current setup and my end goal.
heres what i got
Ascended calibur
Super blaster
spine cone
wolver set
owlite shield
Basically I want the weapons besides my main sword to be able to 1. be able to provide crowd control and 2. inflict status damage and 3. if I need a fourth weapon what would it be for?
here is my end goal
vog or skolver
barbus thorn shield
leviathan blade
?
?
?
Any help would be appreciated. Im completely open to a mix of pistols, bombs and swords. And if you could explain your reasoning instead of just saying "this is what i have and i like it". Thx guys.

Realistically the Shivermist
Realistically the Shivermist is the only choice since it'll Freeze the area and allow for a free charge attack. I don't think the Graviton holds long enough or that'd be an option. Other than that just get a gun that suits your playstyle and you should be fine.

Maybe Glacius? It causes a status effect and the freeze it inflicts with the charged attack can hold off monsters so it kinds of act as a crowd control Sword. Only problem is you can only freeze monsters in front of you not around you like Shivermist Buster.

I vote for shivermist, I was
I vote for shivermist, I was lucky enough to get a strong charge time reduction on mine and it has saved me countless times. If you manage to set it off in a cluster of enemies the charge attack of the calibur will combine with it like no other weapon, maybe except the divine avenger.

Shivermist + Calibur charge is a perfect combo. An enemy that is frozen in place will almost always take the full three hits from the Calibur charge.
I can't really think of anything else that perfectly compliments the Calibur line. Shock will sometimes cause an enemy to act as if it is frozen and thus be unaffected by the knockback, but it is a chance timing.
I wish the same were true of Graviton Vortex, but unfortunately the enemies tend to only take one hit each and are likely to be knocked out of the vortex... very disappointing. A better combo with Graviton Vortex is Glacious charge since it has an AoE + Freeze. The Freeze keeps the mobs from being flung away when the Graviton goes off.

If you want crowd control and damaging status effects, Polaris and Shivermist are right up that alley. Polaris has potential for seperating or grouping enemies when you feel like it, can prevent attacks and causes shock. Shivermist for reasons already mentioned above.
After that you'd have all the crowd control you want, so you'd just want to look for a weapon to cover a damage type you don't have, either a piercing or shadow weapon depending on whether you hate fiends+beasts or slimes+gremlins more.

I dont talk from experience
I dont talk from experience mind you:
Shivermist -> compliments calibur, bad vs freeze stratums
Now where will you have trouble, you will have trouble versus multiple awakened gun puppies, and versus multiple ranged attackers (ie freeze retrode/lumber arenas, poison lichen danger rooms), fiends, and freeze rooms in general. You being melee and freeze being inmune to shivermist puts you in danger all the time, and mass poison lichens are deadly with a melee weapon.
As such a good ranged weapon that can hit frost enemies would work great. Polaris would work as a ranged leviathan charge, hits constructs, can keep your distance from freeze monsters, as well as T3 poison lichens, lichen colonies and spike users in general. its neutral to fiends so you can hit them from afar if possible, although you will rather freeze them and hit them with levi. Except on freeze stratums of course.
Since you are still defenseless vs fiends, and while polaris is better vs frost stratum monsters, it doesnt have something to compliment it, one of the new 5* haze bombs, or gravitron could work there. Im leaning with stun since it would screw with the speed of fiends, but holding them in place with gravitron is ok i guess.
If you go with grav, then voltaic tempest instead of polaris sounds good to me, it will also deal with frost enemies, fiends, and everything, albeit slower, and you'll be in a mostly bomber set than levi centered so you would just replace it with nitronome lol.
Shivermist Buster is pretty huge for crowd control. But the thing is, nothing really supports Leviathan. Leviathan supports everything.
