Gloves, or basically fist weapons would disrupt the current balance of the game. If your shield is decreased when attacking, you could be a sitting duck. If the shield isn't decreased or decreased slightly, it is an unfair advantage since you are dual wielding. If you are talking about two hits at half the damage which will equal one hit from a sword, then you'll still lose out since it is essentially the same thing but with little or no shield.

I would like to see some axes, maces, war hammers, clubs, etc. They would be the same mechanics of the swords but would add variety. I know there are a few of these, but you cannot upgrade them much if any.

Also a shotgun might be different, a crossbow, and/or a sniper rifle would be interesting. Basically the more powerful the less range and the slower the reload. So a shotgun would be one strong shot close up, a sniper rifle would be a bunch of long range shots that are weak.

It would be more difficult than you would think to add new classes of weapons, so right now we are stuck with looks in difference.

One thing I would like to see is the ability to change the colors of the armor, like the pink in the volcanic plate shield, or the shield overall.
