I usually play the game through steam logging in using steam details
however a few minutes ago I tried and the client no longer has a use steam details to login checkbox, it only comes up with an account name; password: input box.
I've tried using my steam details, using my steam email to reset username (said there's no account with that email or something like that), which leaves me wondering.. what exactly happened to my account..?
Please help.
Your account is not gone, there is a bug sometimes where the auto sign-in does not occur. Try restarting the game or restarting Steam and you should be fine.
