Where are they? my lag is prolly more than 500ms.....the game is nearly unplayable.

That won't help him when it matters. In other words, a combat situation, in the clockworks, where there are no other players to shy away from.
That aside, considering the server time appears to be PDT, it's likely to be in western US.

Word is, jp12365, that all the havens are on the same 'server'. The reason they're divided is so that there aren't so many players that you can't see what's going on.
Switching wouldn't help.

There's nothing you can do
There's nothing you can do about the lag if you live in somewhere like southeast Asia like me. Most servers are located in the US, and some in the Europe. Unless OOO decides to expand server coverage to the SEA area, we will have to deal with a ping of 200~300 ms in this game. The only thing you can do is to adapt, i.e. predict every next second and be more defensive in your playstyle.

You can try using a private
You can try using a private VPN service. Try googling a little bit about it, I can't give you more information since I've never actually used one, but technically it could reduce the latency if you choose a good one whose server is close to spiral knight's server.

Lag in Haven
I get lag sometimes when there are a lot of monsters, or the munitions factory. But I've never had it in Haven itself until today, where I could barely move.
I get the feeling it's probably because of the lottery offer...
Hopefully it will be fixed when the competition is over.

It's the lottery
People keep logging in on their main accounts and their 3+ alt/mule accounts every hour for the lottery -- and thus causing a massive lag all around the server that lasts quite a bit. It wasn't that bad yesterday, but today it's gotten worst since it's a Saturday and most people aren't off working anymore.
Go to the upper right corner, on the map . It will show what haven your in. Say it's haven 20. Click on it where it says haven 20, A bunch of havens will pop up. Choose the one with the least amount of people. Hope this helps!
