I must start by saying I really enjoy the concept of spiral knights and I can see it being a potentially great game.

A couple of suggestions for the developers, I thought would be a really good addition to the game.

1. Quests - The game needs quests to give the player some variety in game play. I'm starting to get bored of slashing the same monsters and upgrading equipment. This game needs quests and a good story to get the player immersed in the game.

a. Team based events that don't require energy / All players accepted regardless of equipment - What made me like spiral knights when I first started was the teamwork involved in fighting monsters. You could make it a once of event or more frequently if you like. You could make a town based event in haven where you need to protect the town from monsters ? or Shooting contest, Bomber man style contest. The ideas are endless.

b. Item crafting quests - To make low value materials more useful in the game. I have excess of materials that are not worth selling cause their market value is just too low.

3. Lag free gaming for international customers/ Freezing fix - This is probably the one that hurting most international players right now. Shields don't block when their suppose to even if blocking early. While dodging attacks on screen even though you dodge perfectly you still get hit. When new monsters appear and heavy animated attacks occur the screen freezes for 2-3 secs and the game resumes. Vials and Vita pods would be picked up faster by people from US than international players. Tier 3 and Rom twins stage is too dangerous to play in with these conditions. If there is anything you can do to optimize your code, improve latency would be much appreciated. At this time I cant see myself paying for this game unless this is fixed. It really reduces the enjoyment of the game.

4. Elevator energy prices - start at (5) for tier 1 and (8) for tier 2 and (10) for tier 3. But keep Basil stage at 0. (Was hoping this would help the new players out)

5. NPC or ability to change character colors - Would be nice to adjust your colors/style to suit the equipment you are wearing.

6. Graphic and audio improvements - I wish most stages didn't look so identical and had more variety in its appearance. Also I would like more variations in soundtracks to suit different environments and battle sequences. Environmental effects - Rain, Night light, Sun, Afternoon Sky, Snow, Lava. Waterfalls.

7. Material/Crown distribution during battle. Everyone in the party gets the same amount of loot to promote fairness. No random distribution.

8. Ability to change equipment during battle. (Modified: Before boss battle only)

9. Equipment improvement - I feel that the 4 - 5 star shield health, status resist for shields are too weak for tier 2-3.

10. Combination charge attack with another party member. Higher strength attack with different attack graphic. (to add unique playing styles, teamwork.)

11. Achievement Rewards - I realize you get mist tanks for reaching the next tier but I wish there were more rewards for the other achievements. Like a unique piece of equipment, a small amount of crown, an unique item etc. An achievement without a reward is kinda pointless.

12. Group shield defense - A group of party members shielding together forms a larger stronger barrier shield. (to add unique playing styles, teamwork.)

13. Polling system for suggestions made by players - Players can create suggestions with a polling feature attached. So OOO can gauge how many players would like the suggestion implemented.

NOTE: i do know these topics have been spoken of. I am just giving my thoughts on the game and if enough people let the developers know how they feel they might do something about it. It would be nice if a OOO rep actually provided feedback in these posts. I would like to see some unique suggestions that haven't been done in other games if possible.

you do realize how much sense this makes right? none, when in battle you don't have access to your arsenal. this adds challenge by forcing the player to choose the right armor for the job

9. they are good as they are now you just need to avoid things (if you lag then not even this would help)

Yeah sorry about that I know some suggestions were mentioned already but I wanted to stress to the developers how important they are to the enjoyment of the game. I just wanted to compile a whole list for them to read of my thoughts of the game.

In reply to your replies.

7. I just wanted to make the point that everyone gets the same regardless. This is to promote fairness. I guess if you get 5 materials and the rest get 20 then that would be fair.
9. I don't know why but ever since the last update it feels like my shield health in tier 2 feels weaker than before. I usually don't have a problem with avoiding things cause I'm more a defensive player. I take into account for lag so i know when to dodge/move. I have more issues with projectiles from gun puppies in a tight fighting area. Not much room to avoid/dodge and all you can do is shield. Then add tier 3 and your shield reduces to nothing.

All your posts are very one sided and don't think about the majority of the players as a whole.

It is not always due to bad programming that people get lag.

4. No, this would make tier 1 possibly as profitable as higher tiers, which defeats the purpose of those higher tiers. I know people were farming a depth 6 tier 1 arena a while back for crowns, and these are tier 3 players we're talking about, can clear it in 5-10minutes easily and gain 2k crowns. This would only encourage farming tier 1 levels.

6. Pointless fluff, I would rather have them work on PvP than this.

8. People are supposed to plan ahead, this would make planning ahead and bringing a balanced set of equipment pointless.

9. Equipment isn't supposed to be overpowering even in lower tiers.

Most of what you suggested is pointless fluff.

OOO reps aren't going to read every thread made by every player who thinks they have the most revolutionary idea that for the game that has already been repeated 10 times by earlier players.

I actually really like the combination shielding idea; there's a Space Invaders clone on XBLA called Decimation X3 that uses a similar system to excellent effect. Combination charge attacks, though, aren't really viable; communication is key to these sorts of maneuvers, and the fact that so many players aren't on voicechat would make it kind of a hassle. What if another player saw you charging and took that as a cue to perform an assist charge that actually messes up the way you were going to approach the fight? Or if you meant to do a regular charge and accidentally trigger an assist with someone else?
