Could we have a way to pay energy/crowns so that our old items that we've grown old of/grown tired of have some use?

If we think we might like one set, and end up hating it, it'd be n ice not to just waste all of the time and effort we put into obtaining it.

If this has been discussed or shot down already would you kindly post a link so I can catch up. Thanks.

Also as a side suggestion, build off of proto items ;P
that'd be sweet

You can sell Bound items to

You can sell Bound items to merchants but it's often for what seems to be very low prices. I think 0 star items are worth like 1 crown, 1 star are 5, 2 star are 25, 3 star are 150, and so on. Prices may have changed since the last time I checked.

Actually, prices have been

Actually, prices have been changed- I haven't checked in a while :P For MATERIALS it's still relatively low but for armor and weapons you can sell them back at a pretty high price. Not sure exactly how much, whether it's 1/2 or 1/10 or whatever, but yeah, I made about 18,000 Crowns selling old stuff.

As for breaking things apart into mats or energy... I guess I could see that working for materials, but not for energy. It's not the sword or the helmet that has the energy, it costs energy to create it in the first place. Breaking it apart would not release any energy. Heck, it arguably wouldn't even release raw materials since you'd most likely have to blend and fuse various materials into a more refined form for creating certain items.

RE: Recipe Sharing ;_;

I think the correct way to fix that would be to make bound items tradeable, just not equippable.

Just make it so that before the sale goes through, the person receiving a bound item is presented with a box that requires him to type in "I understand that I cannot, and will never be able to, equip the bound items I am receiving.". That way you can still have a friend upgrade your items for you, but we wouldn't see a thriving hand-me-down industry.

Or you could just make it possible to trade crafting, as in you'd get to browse the recipes someone has, select the items you want and then provide whatever payment or materials the person you're requesting the craft from demands.

I really do believe it's a bit of a drag that we need to all buy our own upgraded recipes... It undermines the whole "teamwork" theme this game has going.

Onakak: The devs should take

Onakak:

The devs should take a page from World of Warcraft on this one. Allow a non-tradeable slot in the trade window.

In WoW, you can "enchant" weapons by putting additional modifiers such as fire damage to a weapon. This is done through a non-tradeable slot in the trade window. Put your item in there, and the other person enchants your item for you. In the same window you can put whatever payment they require for the service.

Something similar can be done here.

Yes RoTide, that is an

Yes RoTide, that is an awesome feature WoW has. I have suggested this before in the suggestion box, the same exact feature for the most part that WoW uses. It would be extreamly useful, and would totally support the team aspect the game seems to be going for.
