Title speaks for itself. I want to know what to pick up from Basil, and for how much to sell them. :>

Go in the Auction House.

Go in the Auction House. Under the recipes category, sort by stars. It will display all the 5* recipes (you can jump to a different page to look at lower star recipes) and it will clump all the same recipes together by name. What you should be looking for the is the lowest "Buy Now" price for each recipe group. That price will give you a good idea of the resale value.

Also remember that if you're selling your recipes in the AH, there will be a 10% tax. For example, to make profit on a 4* recipe I must sell it for more than (10,000/0.9) = 11,111 crowns to make a profit on my original 10,000 crown investment.

Bad math is bad... 10,000 +

Bad math is bad... 10,000 + 10,000/10 = 11,000cr to get a profit on the original 10000 crown investment.

Yes, bad math is bad.

Yes, bad math is bad. The fee is 10% of the sale price, not 10% of the amount you receive. Selling for 11,000 you get

11,000 * 0.9 = 9,900

which is a 100cr loss. In general:

(sale price) * 0.9 = (amount you receive)

Or, equivalently,

(amount you receive) / 0.9 = (sale price)

So,

(amount you need to receive to break even) / 0.9 = (break-even sale price)

The one Cold Iron Vanquisher

The one Cold Iron Vanquisher recipe I sold went for 45,000; 20,000 more than I bought it for. Other than that, Grey Owlite, Vog Cub, and Skolver items sell well. 4* items aren't great for re-sell if you're looking for large profits, but are probably a safer investment. You can really screw yourself up when a 5* recipe doesn't sell.

remember that you get the listing fee refunded.
so if you put the bid price to match up with the buy-it-now price, you get FULL profit.

I have an idea. Lets bump a thread that's 6 months old with ideas based on a market that's six months old, and expect it all to make sense. Oh, wait. You already did that.
