I'm not sure what happened as I did a Paypal payment yesterday while in-game successfully for a small amount of CE. This evening, however, I decided to take advantage of the CE special again. After I brought up the pay with Paypal screen from in game and logged into my Paypal account from my Firefox web browser, Firefox crashed after I tried to confirm payment through Paypal. The game client did not crash. I don't know if the issue was a Firefox bug or a collision with my firewall and the SK client. After 30 minutes, I'm going to check my Paypal account and attempt to purchase more CE if the payment did not go through.

That's likely a Firefox issue. After you open a browser from the client it no longer controls anything. You could just as easily make the payment without ever launching the client in the first place.
