Eventual Dread Vile Striker + Graviton or Nitronome?

While pondering a good sword/bomb pairing, this occurred to me while partying yesterday. In my experience, without going overboard mobs held in place via graviton bombs can be attacked (and subsequently poisoned.) Due to Graviton's use as CC, would this combination be feasible while working with an organized group/soloing?

Its either Graviton for that nice cc or Nitronome for heavier damage. Please, lend me your thoughts!

Umm. I wouldn't pair a striker with a graviton bomb.

pair it with a burst-fire weapon.

E.G. = Graviton bomb bundles, Glacius charge attack deals damage and freezes, preventing re-scattering.

That's the best combo imo.

Your options for graviton.

1. Glacius (best option, ele damage)

2. Levi (second best option; normal damage)

3. Barbarous Thorn Blade (Piercing damage option)

4. Acheron (Shadow damage option)

Glacius could be subbed for a combuster or fang of vog, but Glacius is really the best option imo.

you could MAYBE sub levi for troika... when they release a 5* version.

There's no sub for BTB for piercing damage.

Acheron is your only shadow damage option, gran faust takes far too long to charge.

my gf and i pair graviton

my gf and i pair graviton bomb + striker all the time. its a great combo because the charge atk from the striker is rarely used and actually incredibly powerful.

but yeah we do use blizzbrand more often. its just more useful because you can have re-bomb and re-freeze, but the vile strikers good on the jelly palace cause you can easily kill 4-5 slimes in one charge, where freezing them is less important than getting rid of them.

Graviton Vortex pairs really

Graviton Vortex pairs really well with the Glacius Charge. Actually works well with Combustor/Acheron too. The range of the hit and the explosions tend to hit the mobs without pushing them out of the vortex. Glacius has a bonus that the ice will keep the mobs from being flung away.

DVS in general is a difficult sword to use in Tier 3. Almost no knockback and a late interrupt is problematic due to mob aggression and speed in T3. Through T2 though it still works nicely. I'm not sure it has the range to pair with Graviton Vortex.

Nitronome isn't as situational as Graviton Vortex, also it is generally the preferred bomb when soloing.

The best CC bomb is definitely Shivermist, it has better range, longer time and is easier to use.

Graviton + Glacius is by far

Graviton + Glacius is by far the most deadliest combo
I would have no doubt of got it when I first started if I knew how good it was.
Instead I have a stinking overrated DA + Shivermist :x

Heh

Levi + Shivermist is where it's at ;) 3x hits, plus being able to do two charge attacks before the freeze breaks... yeah... That aside though...

Note that the Vortex 5* combos much better than the 4* version of the bomb. The suction radius is wider (although the blast circle is not) and the suction lasts slightly longer. The difference though is being able to easily complete the combo with just a level 10 Glacius.
