Graviton Bomb Series

Hey SK community,

I have a question about the Graviton Vortex vs. Graviton Bomb. I'm debating whether or not upgrading my Graviton bomb to the Vortex.

In the SK wiki page for the Vortex it states: "While the the blast radius looks the same as the Graviton Bomb, its range of suction is much greater"
What exactly does this mean? I only use this bomb for Crowd Control (CC) and not so much for damage output.

With that said would upgrading my Graviton to the Vortex be worth the costly resources it would need?

Thanks,

Knuts

Basically it means that the visual image is similar in size and the bomb radius may be similar in visual size, but the actual radius/range is larger than the image. and Yes, it definitely is worth upgrading to the Vortex.
Note: I'm no master bomber or anything just from personal experience you may want to get a second opinion

what irks me is why they

what irks me is why they changed the old vortex look to purple and squinty eye. the old red model is much better cuz u can differentiate between the two

As an avid Graviton Vortex

As an avid Graviton Vortex user I'll give you the benefits of upgrading to the Vortex:
- The range of suction is roughly doubled
- It holds enemies for 1 second longer

Also I haven't tested this out, since I've never used Graviton Bomb since I got my first one (note that I hated using the Bomb compared to the Vortex so much that when I got a new one with a UV I actually used two slots, one for my existing Graviton Vortex and one for my new Graviton Bomb, just so that I wouldn't have to use the 4* version), but with the Graviton series if enough enemies are trapped in the suction then they won't get spit out, they'll just sorta get stuck on each other and stay lumped. With the Bomb's lower radius of suction I'm not sure if it would be possible to reach this critical number to prevent flinging but I can tell you for sure that the Vortex can do it.

It's worth it. Sucks monsters

It's worth it.
Sucks monsters from afar, sticks them into place for a fair amount of time.
The downside of gravitron bombs is the low damage output.
If you're looking for crowd control, you might also try the deadliest combination:

Shivermist + random shock bomb, which name i cant remember now.

Shock doesn't really cancel shivermist and makes monsters a little derp.
If you have CTR on your set and bombs, you can even try to land the craziest combination ever:

Shivermist > shock > poison > fire > repeat.

Also, don't forget: Why keeping enemies together and hugging when you can blast them all to smithereens? Nitronome FTW!

Graviton & Knockback Effects

I'm not much of a bomb user; except for an Ash of Agni to soften up large crowds, I'm more of a gun & blade type.
However, I've recently become VERY fond of the Pulsar/Polaris.

Would this combination be viable? A graviton vortex to concentrate the mobs in one place, and then blow the stuffing out of them with the Polaris' expanded shots? Or would the knockback simply blow them out of the bomb's effect radius?

I don't think setting up

I don't think setting up gravity bomb just to fire some polaris shots would be worth the time taken, might as well charge up a levi/civ/da/glacius instead.

Thanks guys, wouldn't have

Thanks guys, wouldn't have guessed that without your input. I'm definitely going to upgrade to Vortex,
