See topic. We need more weekend events like the Power Surge Weekend, that give everyone who logs on an opportunity to get ahead in the game. The Lottery this past weekend was something that should NEVER come to pass, at least in the form it took.
If we ever have another Lottery weekend again, the first step would be to give out FAR, FAAAR more prizes. One winner every hour for 48 hours, given that at any given point in time there are at least a few thousand people on, just isn't very fun, even if the prizes are very large. Having smaller prizes go out maybe every 5 minutes, say just a simple 100 CE, would encourage people to stay on more. And of course, some clearer definitions of the rules would be greatly appreciated. Telling us to be "on and playing" doesn't say much. Did we have to be in the middle of a run to be eligible? Did we have to be engaged in combat (within a certain period of time)?
Here's an idea: Next time you decide to have a lottery, create a Lottery Item. For every depth you go down, for every 10 CE you spend, or just for every 10/15/20/30/60 minutes you stay online you get an Item. You open the item, and it can hold as little as 5 CE to as much as 1000 CE, with an additional chance to drop a weapon/trinket slot upgrade or heat upgrade. This would encourage people to not only play, but to also spend CE, and it's not like you have to make the 1000 CE anywhere near easy to obtain.
But honestly, Power Surge Weekend was a hundred times better than this Lottery Weekend. Bring it back, and maybe consider giving us a weekend of reduced crafting costs or something, throw a bone to your loyal players.
support the lotto was just... bad
