Great question for everyone, when I equip new weapons I need to level them up, that is a given. But does a single weapon recieve more heat if it is the only one that need to be leveled up? Or would the weapon recieve the same amount of heat no matter how many items I have equipped?
Heat the thing to beat?
So even if I have 7 things that need to be leveled up. Every weapon gets as much as if I only needed one to level up?
That's what it normally looks like to me.
Heat is distributed among all items being leveled. If you have one item being leveled, it will receive more heat than if you had a bunch of items. An easy way to see this is if you have an item almost to 10, and it finishes while you are getting heat. Then the bar of the other thing you are leveling shoots up faster by a bit.
lets say heat has a numerical value (it does but no one in the world except the devs know them)
and lets say you gained 100 heat throughout the level.
If you have 5 items that aren't level 10 (aka. 10 incomplete items), they each get a 20 heat.
Eg.
Cobalt helm receives 20 heat.
Cobalt armor receives a 20 heat.
Dread venom striker receives 20 heat.
Punch gun receives 20 heat.
Wise owlite shield receives 20 heat.
But if you only have one item that requires levelling. It gets all the heat.
Eg.
Cobalt helm receives 100 heat.
Tl;dr the heat is split up equally among the equips that REQUIRE heat. Less equips means faster levelling.
if your gonna lvl things up better to wear lvl10 gear and lvl up that one item at a time, it does so much faster than having 20million items on when receiving the heat...
Simply by the looks of how the system works when you have a ton of unleveled things, I'm guessing it makes no difference.
