Hello guys. Anyone else think there should be shield costume aswell the helm and armour costumes ? For example i use Swiftstrike Buckler but i love how Blizzbreaker Shield looks . I would like to see shield costume option within the next update ^^

Mmmm. Yeah
I have to agree. This idea may sound silly, but some shields just look really bland. Others look a lot better. Forget realism, You wanna be able to bash in monsters and not look like a troll while you're at it. Or just dress as a noob cause you enjoy people talking to you like you have no-idea how to play the game.
Whatever your reason, I think this is good.

Unlike weapons, there's no reason not to be able to have shield costumes. None of the shields have a unique animation.
And then I'd make myself an Aegis just because I think it looks cool.

How do shield costumes even make any sense? i mean, it would be cool to have it, but it makes no sense, Wearing a costume over your real armor makes sense but how would that work with shields? do you have tape the shield you want to the one your really using? i mean really?

Exactly. C'mon man, this is a game! Do things really need to make much sense? Of course this game has some extent of realism, but if they tried to make it realistic, the game would be no fun at all!
Seriously, actually think about what you're saying before saying it? I mean come on, if this game was being realistic, people using a leviathan would have no power in their sword strokes, and people who use the Gran faust would all be dead.

Besides the grey owlite and the plate shield variants, I haven't seen a shield that is majorly useful that doesn't look awkward with the rest of my gear, or in general for that matter.
Have you guys seen the royal jelly shield btw?
I didn't even know there was one, but I want it.

Instead of making costume slot for shields, they could as well just improve the design of shields.
Add some new shields that looks better, maybe?

Shield costumes for the win. They already know that people like the idea of armour costumes, shield costumes like others have no particular difference in animation. Just appearance.
Better if they do make sense, eh? There is plenty in this game that doesn't make sense, it just depends on how far you wanna go with it. Snipes can't flap their wings in a continuous circle around their bodies, our characters seems to be just empty power armour, we can lift swords bigger than ourselves, our power comes purely from what were using, we have health bars, we use alchemy, there is magic, there are jellies with dumb brains... I can go on, but all this stuff is what makes this game fun. Screw realism entirely.
You don't wanna look like a literal troll while fighting real trolls, that's why they came up with costume armour. Wear what's good, and wear what looks better over it. They don't have animations, neither do shields. Shield costumes are a good idea.

Yeah, the snipes' wings thingy is one of the silly things that might (or might not) be better if done differently.
On the other hand, for example, fighting a giant jelly cube with a crown on top of it is another silly thing, but silly in an adorable way :D
Same with our knights looking like an "empty armor with glowing eyes". It sure is unrealistic, but we just GOTTA love it :D
So I might have said it this way:
"Some of the things that don't make a sense are pretty darn good/adorable/cool... and some things that don't make a sense are just...well, silly."
For me, having a shield costume is a bit silly. I'm not saying it's terrible idea or anything like this; just that I don't support it, while I am aware that other people may (and obviously DO) like it ;)

I think this is a cool idea! Some shield are better than others but the better ones look real....... lets just say......... bad. I think it is kind of silly but this IS a game and there are silly things in games right?

Shields are just as much a part of certain armour sets as the main armour and helmet! It sucks being able to chose your armour/helmet look, but then be stuck with a shield that don't match.

As a shield, the owlite does look pretty silly. Effectively, you want something that looks...like a tough shield, rather than a cookie.

A Barbarous Thorn Shield. I plan on getting one anyway, but they look SO COOL! Looks like you ripped it off the Snarbolax'. face or something XD!
