Hi guys! Quick question-recently, one of my good friends got his account password changed because he went to one of those fake crown-hacking softwares that really just steal your password. I want to know-can we like take legal action against these people? I mean shouldn't they be fined or something for stealing our accounts?
P.S> DONT EVER GIVE YOUR INFO TO THESE FAKE HACKING SOFTWARES, AND NEVER DOWNLOAD THEM.
Many people (including my friend) learnt it the hard way.
He just started and he wanted to get some 3* stuff fast. Besides, I'm keeping his name anonymous. He already sent a request to support regarding this. I'm just asking a question here for the benefit of him and the rest of the population that got hacked. That's all.
That's also why I'm asking on his behalf, so that he can be anonymous.
If you got hacked, it's because you believed you could get something for nothing. Technically they didn't take anything of value to you, 1s and 0s being of questionable legal value. You also chose to try to hack the game yourself so why do you think you deserve to get recompensed?

I don't believe there are any legal protections for you when you go to a site to request that they illegally hack into a game server and use a cheat to modify your account. It is, however, illegal and there are legal consequences if Three Rings wants to pursue the hacking site.
Of course, the whole procedure breaks the ToS many different ways. Giving your password to others, third party tools, etc., so you could just get banned outright for using the site. But if they are merciful and don't ban you for reporting your own cheating ... and I think it's in general bad policy to ban people for reporting themselves anyway, it tends to stop people from, y'know, reporting these kinds of phishing sites. Ahem.
So anyway, if you're not banned or willing to work with Three Rings anyway, you could always drop another note to support to say that you'd like to cooperate in any way that will help if they choose to take legal action against the phishing site.
Actully they should not be fined because it's actully called scammer.don't fine hackers!!!!
