plz try not yo say token items cuz i will get it later but non token items.
wats a good overall gun to take to 5*???
thats some real effort u put there to explain it to me and i really appreciate it :D
and now i know which gun to make/buy thanx
polaris normal damage line??? :O
Polaris elemental wins as its better against constructs and undead but worse against wolvers and gremlins (which would dodge the slow bullets anyway)
Yeah, Polaris > Supernova, seeing as you shouldn't be using guns on wolvers or gremlins, and if you only want one gun to take to 5*, we can assume you have a sword. Polaris also causes shock, which can help stop monsters from attacking every now and then.
But the guy ignored you when you said no token items, cause you need to beat Roarmulus Twins 5+ times to get it.
Valiance I wouldn't go for, because I consider guns to be utility weapons, and its only utility is range. Typically the non-token gun most people go for these days is an alchemer, usually the voltech series, but cryotech and firotech get used occasionally too. Prismatech and Shadowtech don't do anything other than damage, so don't consider those (unless you really want a pure shadow gun, but enemies weak to elemental tend to be the easiest to gun against anyways)
Argent Peacemaker and Polaris are both great guns for t3
Valiance is the best option if your carrying only 1 gun. It can be used against everything, the bullets are fast, you get a little knockback, all good things.
@Anubis209 and @randomthing
There's no such things as Polaris normal and Polaris elemental O_o
It's either Polaris or Supernova.
Ty the supernova your right I didn't check the wiki. And i went down the Polaris craft side. As he was not interested in a token gun your ePeen is not needed nor were accurate details on my part. And though you may not agree with me I still use guns on monster that are strong to elemental in different situations, like if there is obstacles or hazards and if they are locked in a corner as well as other times but I don't need to list them all. However your opinion may differ from my own and you may think my points are stupid but he did say all around and elemental is not. The bonus for the valliance goes beyond ease to aquire like the knock back that I and jp mentioned. @ overdingle when I said the Polaris is a token gun that leaves valiance. Meaning I didn't ignore the whole post. L2read. The elemental suggestion is a good one though and I agree if you never want to shoot monsters that are strong against it. I do though and can hit hem because I know what to expect some people may not it's up to your playstyle. Thanks for the trolling but I stand by my post. Which is again my OPINION. :)
The two best overall guns in the game are valiance and the polaris normal DMg crafting line. The Polaris is a token gun so that leaves the valiance. There is some good points about the valiance like since it's made from the generic easy recipes sold at vendor like the Levi blast bomb and cobalt set it's easy to get and you never have to pay a premium on recipes. Also being a normal DMg weapon it won't be strong/weak to anything but overall being what you said that is what you want. I have the valiance it was one of the two first 5* weapons I made but now I have options that deal specialized DMg so I use it alot less. I did use it for quite some time however and still use it when I need special loadout and I just want a weapon for ranged that's decent everywhere. Most times I use a catylizer or Polaris elemental as they are new and great fun. So as a first ranged weapon valiance has knockback reload movement not strong/weak good kiting etc. Not a bad choice and will serve you as a respected and useful weapon till you start specializing your ranged slot with ele/shad/prc options. Oh and there is other normal DMg weapons that do more dps but usually have a downside like no movement during fire or reload an uncontrolled spread etc. Good luck and happy hunting.
