Increasing ME generation?

I've read in the Wiki that it takes 22 hours for a full mist tank and 1 unit of ME takes about 13.2 minutes.
This seems a tad bit slow does it not?
How about 10 ME per hour WHEN LOGGED OFF.
and possibly 5-7 ME per hour when actually logged on?
So when a person goes to sleep for about 8-10 hours they can start playing the game again.
This really wouldn't effect the CE economy as much but it'd definitely help the newbies who are just starting off.

well, if it only increases

well, if it only increases your rate when logged off, I don't see a problem. Sure, I'm all for it.

60 minutes divided by 13.2

60 minutes divided by 13.2 minutes = 4.6 (1 d.p.) ME per hour <-- This, MASSIVE hole in your logic. But that can be easily corrected.

60 minutes divided by x minutes = 10 ME per hour
60 minutes = 10 ME per hour * x minutes
60 minutes / 10 ME per hour = 6 minutes

Therfore it would take less than half the current time to recharge your ME bar fully.

How long exactly? 100 ME * 6 minutes = 600 minutes. 600 minutes / 60 minutes = 10 hours. 10 hours to just log off before going back into the game with a fully charged mist bar. And this is not taking into account the 'spare' ME a person will inevitably have at one point or another.

I'm sorry but you need to work out your figures before you make up any more ideas.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but

@monkeyman
Correct me if i'm wrong, but CE dependancy is for crafting items past the 100 ME max, as well as for when you're doing badly and need to regen you/your teammates - logging off to increase the regen would not affect the latter point, and the former wouldn't be changed even if ME regened at 100 instantly.

I'm all for this idea, personally.

Um...

@eternity08 um you do know the 13.2 minutes IS THE CURRENT ME charging not the one I'm explaining >.>.
What I'm saying is when logged OFF every 6 minutes=1 unit of ME
When logged ON it's the current regeneration atm.
I've taken into accounting the runs and other things.
Elevators cost 10
A full run costs 60 energy or so (WITHOUT REVIVES)
a player can do 2 runs as soon as he logs off for 2 hours.
Then the player has to wait A MINIMUM of 6 hours to play before doing a run WITHOUT revives.
I don't know what you were trying to point out but I'm pretty sure your incorrect on whatever your explaining.

actually, I'm not so sure about how much should be regenerated whilst logged off- as i haven't looked into it, but the idea that ME regeneration is faster when logged off seems like a really great idea IMO.
fix the complaining about people not getting as much ME, keep CE damage to a minimum.

and really, who's going to be playing the game, running out of Me, then waiting forever long ( 6 hours?) just to play with 100 ME again? on a regular basis?
For me, I make it a point to start playing by 2, because If i wait, I can only start playing with 100 ME two hours or so prior to when I started playing the previous day. I haven't played with a full ME bar in about a month T.T
so +1 over here

+1 but only offline

Offline would work, maybe at 2x the normal rate?

Online, people would just chill round till their mist regens and do whatever they were going to do and DEFINITELY reduce CE dependency. But I don't know anyone so obsessed that they would wait precisely 11 hours just to hop back on.

So offline regen boost...BOOHYAH! GO FOR IT!

Concerning the ME regen' rate

In that case, it does make it seem much more reasonable. Although the offline ME regen' will need to be looked over by the SK developers in order to be absolutely certain it would have no negative effect on the economy. Just in case.

'fraid not...

With this, they would have to make our mist tanks bigger... 'cause even now your ME goes to waste when it reaches 100 and you are unable to log in and play for some reason.

Sure it would be nice to have more ME, but I'm just fine with the current regen rate.

wow!

Didn't think so many people would agree :P.
Thought somebody would point out some huge issues and annoy me with the complications and stuff, but it looks like this is an idea the population would like!
A great benefit from this idea would probably the large influx of new/old players who had trouble with the gaming to CE and ME balance.

Totally

I'm having trouble keeping up with the gain or cr over my energy. I mostly am forced to use all my resources 'cause I get invited to a hardcore stage and die multiple times. Then all my cr and ce go poof.

Then I can only sit round trying to sell stuff till I'm no-longer poor.

I've never been at 100 mist since I started this game. Mist regen simply takes too long and disappears too quickly for my tastes.
