Separate Mist Tanks for each Knight on one Account

I understand making CE shared over each of your 3 Knights, however I think that ME should be separate per Knight.

There are two reasons why I think this.
1) It would be nice to be able to play a weaker character without using your main characters ME, because that just makes me only want to have one Knight.
2) It fits into the story as well, each Knight’s suit collects ME, so why is ME shared across up to 3 separate Knights, who all have their own suit.

Problems I can see arising from this.
1) Players may use their second and third Knight to get as much materials and crowns as they possibly can, trade them to another player, delete the Knight and start again. Obviously this is bad news for the game, but it has a very simple solution. Once a Knight is deleted, you should have to wait 7, 14 or even 30 days to make a new one. This will discourage players from abusing the system.
2) Others may think that since players can play more often, on a different Knight, the CE economy would fall. However I don’t think so. Players cannot trade their ME, so there is no loss there. Additionally, since players can play each Knight for longer, and with more Knights running around, players will begin needing CE for higher star Crafting. I believe that this will actually help the market for CE and promote players to purchase more than they normally would. After all they now have 3 potential Knights desperately in need of some good Armour.

Tell me what you think, hopefully others agree.

This will never happen since

This will never happen since all people would use other character for mass crafting

And you absolutely need'not other character in this game since there is no experience for them , if you want a weaker character just change weapon/equipment on him ^^

It's not that I want a weaker

It's not that I want a weaker character, its just that being able to play a secondary character, while my main is recharging, would be an awesome perk. And I get where you're coming from with the mass crafting thing, but if they wanted to craft higher than 2 star, they would still need CE.

Yes but masscrafting is about

Yes but masscrafting is about 2 star items for get some uv then upgrade it , not about 3 star ones ^^

And the 100 free mist energy is make to limit your free play time , three rings will never triple your free play time ^^

Me and my brother have two

Me and my brother have two seperate accounts, now he's too young to buy CE - he's only 13. He also gets infinately annoyed if i play spiral knights before him. but due to mist energy being linked, i have to log into his account and my account at the same time, and then keep it till he wants to play - which is infinately annoying with the auto kick.

People could abuse this

People could abuse this system by creating a character, spend it's mist, send the rewards to their main account and then create a new knight: You'd have unlimiterd mist if a friend helps you!

@MonkeyMan135 Well that

@MonkeyMan135

Well that pretty much solves my problem, thank you.

@juances

Yes, I thought that could happen that's why I included this in the original post
"Once a Knight is deleted, you should have to wait 7, 14 or even 30 days to make a new one. This will discourage players from abusing the system."

It'd be a cool feature, IMO.

It'd be a cool feature, IMO. To help prevent abuse, just make it only work for paid accounts.

I mean, I honestly just made a second account to get my extra mist energy on top of my paid one... I'd imagine it'd be a bit cleaner to encourage *actually* having multiple knights on one account.

Thought about it before

I actually was thinking about this the other day. I had finished playing the game for the day, but wasn't quite out of the SK mood. I had tossed the idea of making an alt to do the tier 1 content for fun, but then realized that all three knights share energy across the board.

While I think it's wishful thinking and would be fun, the more I thought about it, the more I understood why alts share mist energy. I can only imagine people would abuse it and make alts over and over or something to farm crowns. Make an alt, run the dungeon, make an alt in slot 2 -- delete make new alts. You could probably reap a lot of money that way.

I think if there were a heavy fee to discourage abuse of the system, it could work. ^_^
I think it would give incentives to make alts, but would need some work to make it so it's not abused.

I've been thinking about this

I've been thinking about this lately too. Is there any real incentive to having more than one character on the same account?

Energy's shared, so you can't play any longer, and wouldn't be getting any more heat/materials from dividing it up...

There are no items with any requirements other than equipping them, so there's nothing that a character can't or shouldn't use, and it's always logically better to have a single large and diverse arsenal...

In fact, the only "advantages" I can see would be being able to pick a different name and color.
