Hello folks!
I already am the proud owner of a (nearly) max Grey Owlite Shield. I know how good it is and I can beat VD with most groups without too much hassle.
Mostly I am looking to craft an alternative to run in RJ runs and normal clockworks runs.
My current build is a gunslinger build. With a Hail Driver, Callahan, Biohazard (Swapped to a silversix in FSC), and either a Levi Blade, Atomic Vaporizer, or Plasma Capacitor (My personal favorite for normal strata.) I'm looking for a shield to compliment my loadout. Most of the time I take very little (or no) damage from ranged elemental attacks (retrodes nonwithstanding) The most dangerous foes for me are T3 wolvers, cats, grievers, and devilites.
I'm asking those of you who use Skelly and Dragon Scale shields, how do they hold up in the field compared to Owlite/Heater shields?
Well, not for wolvers, but for cats, grievers, and devilites Skelly shields (4* or 5*) do hold up pretty well and definitely much better than my Grey Owlite. It doesn't protect from the grievers "mist" (and anyway, for grievers hitting is a better defense than shielding most of the time) but it allows me to get close to devilites.
Dragon Scale, I can't say.
