Two Serious Questions

I have two questions which revolve around one issue I'm currently trying to deal with.

The first, (and a dev or GM coming in here and clearing this on up would be much appreciated) is this: all mail supposedly deletes after 30 days, does this include unopened mail that included attachments?

If I can't get a solid (and not the wrong) answer on that one, I need to know, will opening up someone else's account (this is a close friend who currently has no fast internet access and won't be able to play for a bit, but I've been mailing her stuff) on a computer that I usually open up my account from "merge" our two Mist streams? Does anyone know the conclusive answer to this? Because I really don't want that to happen, but I've been mailing 5* recipes, and I really don't want them to be sucked into the mail void.

Thanks

IGN Moriano, post if we've delved a few times or if I've made fun of you for wearing vog ;P

Well.

If either one of you has a paid account (that is, you've spent actual currency on CE) then you don't have to worry about it at all - your mist is automatically separated.

If neither of you has paid cash, well... I believe you're ess-oh-ell, as they say, unless you drop $2.50 on your account or hers.

I'm not sure about the mail thing but - if SK is like other games with the mail system - it will just return the mail to you with attachments intact.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful! D: Good luck.

Yeah, I've seen a forum post

Yeah, I've seen a forum post complaining how his mist tank went bye-bye because he thought accepting it would use it. So, he let it wait for 30 days and it went poof. Thus, as far as items are concerned, attachments appear to be deleted along with mail when the 30-day frame passes.

Well I'm not 100% but...

I belive you get items back that attached to the mail, my friend send 1k crowns to his friend, who did not accept it and got it back after a 30 day wait....although I dont know about mist tanks....

Well mist tanks are straight

Well mist tanks are straight from the "Spiral HQ" so it's not a player sending it to you. If the contents are sent back to the sender, then the mist tank would vanish, I'd think.
Otherwise, the only 'real' answer you can get on your own if a GM doesn't answer is to actually send yourself a mail attachement and wait. Not a very immediate solution.

"... on a computer that I

"... on a computer that I usually open up my account from "merge" our two Mist streams? "

I believe the hardware pooling only happens on a per-case basis, when the secondary account is played on the same computer. That's what I got from my tinkering, anyways.

Bn28 is correct.

If the recipient does not accept the attachments within 30 days, those items are then returned to you. I once sent a friend a fireburst brandish which he never accepted. In another instance, I mailed someone most of the materials to create a Leviathan. In both cases, I received the items back after the 30 day limit. It surprised me both times.

I love this game, but I am still sometimes astonished at the nice little features included.

If you log on to your friends

If you log on to your friends account on the PC you use daily, her mist energy will be the same for yours only on your PC.
Once she logs on in her own household PC she will have her own 100 regenerated ME.

By NO chance will ME ever merge, theres no such thing as ME merging on two separate PC's

Yeah. I think there are two

Yeah. I think there are two checks for ME, first is the account itself, and second is the IP address. Paying would skip the second one, but if you haven't, it'll take whichever one is lower (to prevent people from getting more than their 100 per day). Of course, this is merely my theory, needs some testing.

How does it work?

Wait, so does SK link each account to the hardware profile it was created on, tracking profiles (serverside) with unpaid accounts created on the same computer sharing a hardware profile? Or does it just track profiles (serverside), and deduct mist from whichever profile a knight is logged in from?

Let's say there are two computers (1 and 2), and three unpaid accounts (A, B and C). Account A was created on computer 1, and accounts B and C were created on computer 2.
Account A on computer 1 has 40 mist; account B on computer 2 has 60 mist.
Account B logs on computer 1. Q1: Does Account B display 40, or 60 mist?
Account B on computer 1 uses up 10 mist, logs off, goes back to computer 2 and logs on. Q2: Does Account B now display 50, 30 or some other amount of mist?
Now account A logs on to computer 1. Q3: Does account A display 30 mist, or 40?
Account A logs off, and account C then logs on from computer 1. Q4: How much mist does account C display?

If SK links accounts to a 'home' profile, then the answers to Q1-4 should be 60, 50, 40 and 50, respectively. If mist is simply deducted from the current profile a knight is logged in to, the answers would be 40, 60, 30 and 30, respectively. Or is mist energy tracked in some other convoluted way? Can anyone enlighten me on this topic?
