Currently speaking, the shield has three UV's, being:
Shock resistance: Medium
Elemental def: Low
Piercing def: Medium
Now here's where I'm trying to get a price. So far I've been told that the shield should be 4kce at the minimum, there's 3 UV's, so there might be a collectors complex in the purchase, The shield is in high demand, but should I sell it as is, or upgrade it and sell it at a higher price than currently mentioned?
If someone could clarify this, that'd be great.
when you already had a price check thread? i get that you are trying to peg down the price to a smaller spread. But why not just continue to discuss the price in your original thread? The bazaar has become far too cluttered without people making two threads for one item.
Maybe you have a good reason, in which case, its fine. But i don't see how this thread serves any purpose above and beyond what the original thread served.

Since i've nominated myself as bazaar police enforcement....your explanation makes sense :D. I've done the same thing with my threads in the past. Without saying anything definitive about your shield inparticular, i'll just say that I value MAX more than other UVs. To me, you need a MAX something, and then anything else is a bonus. So i'd rather have one max then two mediums. Probably even more than 3 mediums...but then, that might be where stuff starts to balance.
However, my take isn't necessarily the concensus take. Hopefully, you'll find someone who values two meds and a low more than one max, and to tha person this shield might be worth more than i'd appraise it for.
[and really, i don' think UVs versus price is about utility at all. To me, its about status. The utility of a max shadow owlite was never worth 25k ce. but in the past--prepatch--it went for 20-25k ce. Thats about the status of "oh look at me and my awesome shield!!!!". And i'm not saying there is anything wrong with that mentality. As you'll see it across the board on my weaponry. After a certain point, what else are you going to do with XXthousand CE.---and i mean this from an "i earned CE through playing and makin smart moves" not "i just spent 200 dollars buying CE" standpoint.]

honstly, i think you'll get the best price for this in the AH. Most well-informed, big spenders, I THINK, will take my point of view on it. Whereas someone who doesn't visit the forums might just see three UVs, and 2 of them decent, on the AH and be like...oh shiz....i gots money...i don't have that shield. BID BID BID. Just my opnion tho. Just b/c thats how i percieve people to feel, doesn't make it so.

The info certainly helps, but I'm confused as to what I should put this up for bid for T.T
I've gotten quite a mix of responses about it, and the biggest problem is I don't want to do this the wrong way and lose the possibility of gaining more than I did (first time selling something with UV's).
As far as the auction house goes, I think I'll look into that more. I was wary of it at first because of the high listing price, and bidding not being a certain thing, waiting n' such. doesn't do to well with my nerves. But I can see people going to the AH not being as informed about prices and such, and spending their money like that. I'd enjoy that :D
I would go to the AH find a med Shock Owlite shield. See what it is worth. (i think about 20k for 3*....not sure. haven't priced them in awhile.)

Low uv isn't worth anything. BUt since its a bonus to the other to. Add about 5k.

so starting bid= (med shock value) + (med perice value) + (5k for low UV) + (15-20k For rarity of 3UVs) - (10k to get bidding started).
So given my rough estimates (which were accurate awhile ago, not sure where the market is on owlite shields nowadays)
starting bid= 20k + 25k + 5k + 15k -10k. Or 55k starting bid.
I think a legitimate buyout would be triple that. 165k. But, BUT, no reason to put a low cap on the potential profit. So i'd probably add another 1k ce (or 40-50k crowns) on top of that and make my buyout 200-250k and be happy if i get it.
Again, this is all based ON MY PERCEIVED WORTH of the item. this gives you a 1k CE- 5k ce spread. Or 55k-250k crowns. Its a calculated risk. If you get 5k CE for it. You win. Thats surely more than its worth. If you get 1k CE...well, its a thousand CE, and many have argued thats all its worth.
Lastly, if you want to equip it but feel like you should sell it for massive profits instead, then decide what is the absolute minimum you'd sell it for, and post it for that as starting bid. If it doesn't sell and u lose the listing fee, well, consider it worth hedging against the risk of giving it away to cheap. Consider the 5-10k listing fee as a good investment. Equip the shield and be happy.
By the way. All my pricing and values are based on the fact that i have a max elem. Volcanic Plate Shield, so if i had your 3UV shield, i'd have no use for it, but to sell it. If you dont have a max shield already, it might hold more value for you. So work that into the equation accordingly.

As far as pricing goes, 4k CE is overpriced imo. However, what an item is worth is what someone is willing to pay. Having 3 UVs does drive up the price on this item, but the only useful UV would be the ele low and med piercing which i would value at 2k CE or 3k CE at most.
For upgrading, I would keep it at owlite as the unbinding fee is what drives up pricing in which nobody benefits (buyer pays higher fee, the CE is then lost to SK and not to the seller).
