An entire fanfiction = a
An entire fanfiction = a fanfiction. An entire pie = a pie.
And I believe the topic isn't too specific nor does it delve 'way into the SK plot.' The main thing about the creation of fanfics from my topic is the creation of Emerald Axis VII, which I'm curious to see what others will protray it as.
It could be some strange ghost town with scary things where the missing Knights get possessed by demons, or it could be the magical land of Equestria where the missing Knights decided to become ponies and never go back because ponies are awesome.

"Oh no you don't!" screamed former Agent Valkryie after his newly-made friend who was as competitive as he was.
"Oh yes I do!" muttered Rainbow Dash under her breath, focusing on propelling herself downwards to gain speed.
Not a moment after Rainbow Dash's surprise race challenge, Valkryie folded in his wings and bolted after the rainbow-maned pegasus pony. It certainly became apparent that Valkryie became quickly attached to his new pony form, his adrenaline heightening at the introduction to a new type of speed: flying.
Clouds soared passed the two speeding figures with Rainbow Dash in an exceptional lead. At the speed they were traveling (which was still rapidly increasing), the clouds themselves becoming solid enough obstacles to prove a hazard.
"Oh my, those two really shouldn't be together," Espeonage groaned as he rolled his eyes.
"You can say that 'gain," sighed the somewhat concerned Applejack beside him. "You should be relieved that yer friend - uh, Zettalux was it? - hasen't met Pinkie Pie yet."
"Pinkie what?"
"HI!" a high pitch voice chirped after a blur of pink announced the arrival of the sugar-fueled party pony. "Ooh ooh! Who's this, Applejack? Somepony new? Ooh who's the strange pegasus flying with Rainbow Dash?! OHMYGOSH I NEED -"
"PINKIE! Be nice t'our new guests!" barked Applejack before twitching a smile to Espeonage, who was almost done processing what just happened.

It's very clear to me the difference between half a pie, a slice of pie or a whole pie, but what would be half a fanfiction? A part of a fanfiction? Is an entire fanfiction a short-story?

Oh, well I didn't really mean that... But nonetheless, so long as you bide by the rules, any attempt is welcome. Even if it's utterly horrible and should be given a negative award where you give me CE.
Haha, but don't let that discourage you, writers! Try your best, and hope it turns out... readable, at best.
Oh and for the record, in any case that a submitted fanfic gets removed (thread saged, etc), I am saving the works on my computer just so I can read them if the original source gets lost.

Haha, you don't have to worry Shoebox; at least for me. I know that fanfics have a bad reputation in general, but I have a pretty good idea what constitutes at least a passable read. Besides, seeing as there really isn't much material to use upon writing a fanfic on this game, there is plenty of room for imagination and creativity. There are plenty of good and talented writers out there, you just have to look for em. Besides, all writers have to start somewhere am I right? :)
If I do enter, I'll to my best to write something worth reading.

Thanks for the submissions so far. I'm still contemplating on if I should move the thread to General, rather than Gremlin Chatter.
Also, I'm thinking of putting all submitted fanfics into my Google Docs for safe keeping. Would that be alright for anyone? Know that when you submit something, whatever state it is in is considered complete to me. So, do all your editing and revisions BEFORE submitting, since they'll be considered 'final products.'

Please, extend the deadline! I need to write an article with the same deadline and I really didn't want the article and the fanfic to collide. Also, I think you could include links in the first post to the fanfics which have been submitted.
And who will be doing the judging?
I'm writing something which is already 3 chapters long (5,386 words!). It will probably have three more chapters, perhaps shorter ones. I'm considering "The Cogs" as a title. I like the fact that the word 'cog' is both a part of a gearwheel and a type of ship. =)
