What is Illegal in SK? (What can get players banned?)
(Probably a Dumb Question)
The 'rules' are in the terms of service: http://wiki.spiralknights.com/TOS
Of course, some infractions will only merit a warning or a temporary ban whereas others will merit a permanent ban (and Three Rings has some pretty decent technology for stopping you from simply creating another account, and getting around that is 'ban evasion' and can in turn get you banned - and is a good way to turn a temporary ban into a permanent one, so don't do it.)
Being under 13 is one also, so please, if you're under 13 don't tell anyone your age. I don't think anyone really cares, but Three Rings pretty much -has- to ban you to stay COPA compliant, unless they cripple the game with monitoring and content restrictions to make it safe for children.
Also, of course, you don't have to actually break any rules to get banned - badly formed jokes about breaking the rules that might be misread by a game master could also get you banned, so ... don't joke about ban evading, hacking the game, or being very young. You'll probably get back in on appeal, but it could take a while!
Thanks monkey and senshi, this helps a lot.
Though I haven't find what I'm looking for. I will keep reading those rules and blah blah blah's that you put Senshi.
Again, thanks.
(I'm not under 13, hahahahaha. And about the jokes.. I know what to do with those)
Another classic offense that can lead to banning is creating an offensive character/guild name. The language filter tries to stop it but stuff sometimes sneaks through. Depending on how OOO is feeling, they could ban you or change the character's/guild's name to something really silly like Gumdrop Lane.
the generic MMO "do-not-dos"
spamming
offensive lang
scamming
impersonating SK personnel
etc
