The game worked fine until today, but when I tried to play it gave me black screen.
I followed the instructions for "Are you getting a black screen/a malfunctioning full-screen/bad resolution?", it gave me black windowed screen, so I deleted the game from my app data folder and reinstalled it; that did nothing to fix the problem.
Next I deleted the projectx registry entry, the game, updated java, added exception to windows firewall (I am behind a router without an exception but it doesn't seem like it would be causing a blank screen anyway), and reinstalled the game from scratch but it's still broken. :(

So...
I did a system restore to before game was broken for me, uninstalled Java and reinstalled from scratch, and downloaded the installable game client. I think it'd have to be an issue with the most recent version of the client, which doesn't make much sense considering the changelog is minor stuff...
What kind of video card do you have? Have you checked to make sure you have the latest video driver for it?
