These houses would be like a room for the knights. Furniture should also be available to put in the houses. And players should be able to invite knights over.

Why would we have homes? We crashed on a planet. Also developers could be spending their time on something to better the game. Like PvP, new bosses, and other things that would make the game over all better. Why do we need homes? It just seems like a waste of time.

There is already a bunch of threads about this suggestion. Everybody agrees: It's useless.
People just want new bosses, new places with new monsters, and PvP.
I would like new places on Haven, and I can even accept houses with useless decoration to collect and such (I'm a big fan of Phantasy Star Portable 2, so yeah), but it's only me.

The idea of houses in spiral
The idea of houses in spiral knights isn't that far-fetched you know.
I mean, say if you were to visit another country or something, you probably wouldn't buy a house, but you would probably get an apartment or something right? Not saying I support the idea really, just saying.
If anything though, I would much rather they mess with the guilds long before "houses".

Houses/Pods are cool
Houses dont actually have to be an actual house, you kitchen , bathroom and all but they can be small rooms. They could even be the pods you landed in. Anyway they would be used as a place for your knight to display stuff, maybe an artefact case or achievement hall or something like that. You could invite people over, and unlike the guildhall it could be anyone. Though I must admit, having furniture could complicate things a little bit.

Maybe you could even invite people in so they can see you achievements board and stuff. And it could have a personal safe! To keep stuff in! Like mats, cr, ce and gear! so you don't do useless stuff with them.
Also they'd make great personal conference rooms. If people want a private space to talk to their buddies, instead of kicking people out of that garden they could go to one of their houses!

Ahem, may i remind you that we are basically robots? WHY WOULD A ROBOT NEED A KITCHEN, BEDROOM, OR TOILET??? It would just be a waste of crowns and stuff, plus for the storage thing may i remind you that our inventory cant run out of space. Though i quite agree on the few posts above about displaying stuff, it would be SHOWOFF TIME :)

With the storage space, useless, I'd have to agree.
However, there are some players that are neat freaks, (self proclaiming ones at least) and this would kinda help them out. They already are asking for (or have before) to be able to delete recipes from their list to be tidy and neat.
Also, like I said already, it'll stop yourself from doing useless stuff with them. It looks like a lot more when it's all there, and a lot less when you're done using them.

I like the idea. But it should be on the bottom of list of updates that OOO should be making.
PvP, guild halls, more bosses, more content would all trump this. But if they did have the manpower and money to put all of these things out next Tuesday, why the hell not? It would make a great activity.
I also like the idea of 'world pvp' in your house say. Have a switch that only the owner of the house could use, to whether people could kill eachother or not.

How about this...
Instead of a house, how about your rescue pod? The ability to revisit the rescue camp could be added, and there would be a list of homes of users (only friend maybe). You can enter each other's pods. Sure, they would be bigger inside than they are outside, but they would maybe be... 5x5 inside. Instead of furniture there could be a small bed for decoration, but the main features would be:
-A place to hang out with friends and talk to them (without taking up the Haven chat), because there is already a place for the guild.
-A small board with the pod owners: Achievments, messages, progress, total time spent, and maybe even a total crowns and ce spent. These would be visible if the player wanted them to be. Also, just for the hell of it, why not make the bed a second in game place to log off?
In the rescue camp, there are NPC kinghts using them as houses, why not you?
Edit: Someone beat me to the idea, but here I take that idea and add on to it I guess. I knew I wouldn't be the only one who thought of this.
