I just wanted to know if there is a higher probablility of getting good UV's with punch than just crafting. I am just wondering because I've only used him twice and both times I got a good high UV on the item.

1st time: High vs gremlins on Silent Nightblade (not the best, but pretty good IMO)

2nd time: High ASI on Avenger

I just wanna know, is it easier to get these UV's with punch, or am I just doing something right and getting really lucky.

I got both of these with first ticket on the item but i got a crap ton of lows in between those on the tickets for my armor. So I'm still pretty sure that it's safe to say that all it does is guarantee a UV and it is even possible to get the same UV multiple times in a row if you are unlucky.

How am I not as lucky as him?

How am I not as lucky as him? I only rolled 2 times ever and got both good UV's, he had to go through a bunch of low UV's on armor between.

2 Very Highs are better than 2 highs. Durrrp. He rolled them on the first ticket he used on them too.

For equipment that you plan

For equipment that you plan on using, I'd say craft up to 5* before using Punch. The new numbers are still being looked at, but the base chance of a getting a UV on craft is around 10% under the old system. Under the new system, you now have a chance to obtain up to 3 UVs at each attempt.

Odds aside, you have 3-4 attempts to get a UV during normal crafting at no charge. If your lucky you may end up with something thats acceptable enough. If your really luckly, you'll get 1 high UV or a bunch of useful UVs that work well with the item. If you use Punch during the early stages, your spending money (probably on single UV tickets) to get a UV you want, but will transfer it as you upgrade.

By crafting up first, you maximize your chances of getting some useful UVs for free. If it doesn't work out, then you can try your luck with Punch to reroll what your looking for.

Meh, the ones I got are

Meh, the ones I got are better than anything I've gotten out of crafting so I'm gonna keep doing it, just because I'm guaranteed a UV, which has a chance of actually being useful rather than having a chance at having a chance at a useful UV. (If you understood that at all)

Punch uses the same method of

Punch uses the same method of picking UVs as you do when crafting, but your paying for each attempt. If your gonna pay 800CE to upgrade to 5 star, you may as well have a chance for a stack of UVs no matter how small.

Its like saying I'm gonna buy a soda and a lottery ticket separately even though I could get a free ticket when I buy this soda.

You are very lucky, I have

You are very lucky, I have spent 360k on one item trying to get a UV, and have only just now gotten a Medium. I have had several High UV's before, but I didn't want those. Congrats!

I wasted 105000 cr on single rolls trying to change my shivermist UV .. and I got 7 low DMG in a row.

yeah I'll never do that again.. I think I had a bit to drink.

Thankfully they have bomb ctr

Thankfully they have bomb ctr trinkets now for folks that don't run bomb armor, sadly the resist trinkets don't seem to work, according to my (very) limited testing, or we could (almost) forget about UV rolling!
