Normally you cannot enter tier 3 without owning 4 star or better gear. If you have worse gear there is a field that stops you traveling further. However, if you are walking into this field while someone else throws a vial through the field, you can walk through with the vial. This field seems to be the only check as you can then play the next levels without meeting requirements. I am unable to test whether this works on the tier 2 field but I presume it would.
Method of bypassing tier restrictions
Hm. I tried this and it didn't work. Is there a trick to it? Or perhaps they've patched it already.
there is no trick to it i know how to do it not gonna say it tho
thats up for the gm's to decide whether to fix it or not
gm message me ingame if you want to c how ign: insaneOdin
UPDATE: I checked, and it also works for the Tier 2 field.
Yep, I got this to work, and submitted a bug report. That was before the new update, though. It's possible they fixed it there, though it's probably not very high on their list of priorities.
I saw it done last week, though I was told you couldn't go down the elevator.
I tried it today with a new player to show him the town (thinking it would do no harm and to see if it was fixed) and voila, he ended up in tier 2 dungeons with proto kit.
Seems like a VERY serious bug, how has it not been fixed?
Submitted a report in any case.
I don't see how this is critically dangerous to anyone except the person trying to go in under geared. Although, dauntless delver starting from the drop pod without gear upgrades would be pretty outrageous.

Even then, unless I'm mistaken, it looks like you have to deliberately try to replicate this glitch for it to happen in most cases. Not to mention you can just hit Esc and click the "Return to Haven" button if it does happen by accident.
This doesn't sound like a serious bug at all, although it should be fixed regardless.
You know that you can simply invite someone to a group as well. It doesn't check the requirements.
True, you can just invite. But what about a party of T1ers, for example. They could just have one person bypass the field, then invite the rest.
True, but only the really hardcore would do that xD
Wow thanks for the hint, i'll try it out and see..
