Yes, so... I've never been put to sleep. I've never seen a player put to sleep. I've never seen at attack or status effect from an enemy that causes sleep. Can we PLEASE do away with this completely wasteful UV? Beside that, the UV tickets are insanely expensive, as well as the unbind fees being a bit high. I think people spend enough real money as it is, and I don't see how a silly screwed up part of the game should still be there after so long. Let's try to tailor the game a little more toward how the players want. Obviously, in a fair to everyone kind of way. Perhaps I'm the only one who feels this way? CE price needs to come down some more (and naturally will as a result of certain things being fixed), and yes I am aware of how much higher it "used to be", so pointing that out won't be necessary. It doesn't change my mind on the matter.

Thanks for reading.

the CE price is perfect.

the CE price is perfect. you(i assume a free player) wants to make a profit. CE buyers want a fair price on what they paid for. at current prices, you can make a small profit, and CE buyers don't feel ripped off. let it be.

the 3 UV is probably a little expensive though....375k is a lot of crowns, almost impossible without paying money. i think 200k is more reasonable. otherwise, 1 UV is very good priced, and so is 2.

and yes, the sleep UV and all sleep defence is evidently useless. i can agree to that.

im thinking they are

im thinking they are reworking sleep and/or sleep inducing monsters and that's y they havent changed a thing about it

those services of UV rolling and unbinding were meant to b used for those much more affluent than others, since it would only benefit the wealthy more if prices were lower, because they can get a bigger return on investments into those services

Possible candidates for Sleep

I figure give Silkwings a Sleep attack that does no damage might be interesting.

Maybe even some Greaver variants, but with damage.

Useless UV sleep and curse

Useless UV sleep and curse resistance.Idk why but I bought a jelly helm with low curse resistance and med loosen resistance.I hope they will add monsters that can do sleep but should make it fairly rare to encounter one

Curse...

Curse resist is for shadow weapons. All swords with shadow damage leave you with the chance to receive curse effect. That is the drawback of using a weapon with that kind of power.

Sleep resist is more or less useless at present. A future creature or perhaps the PvP arena could prove it's usefulness...

No Sleep!

For my part, I hope they leave sleep dead, and I'd go so far as to remove it from the game entirely. It removes all control from the player and basically makes a moment where you are unable to play the game... in other words, a moment where you aren't having fun, which is the exact opposite of what a good designer would want to be doing.

I think freeze fills the design space that sleep wants to occupy quite nicely: keeps the player immobile to set up monster attacks, but still allows him to attack, so he doesn't feel like all his control's being taken away. For monsters, all you really want them to do is stop moving, and freeze again does this quite well.

RE: So, um...

@ Valkyrie182: No such thing as curse with the Nightblade/Acheron. Look it up again, this is only an issue with the Faust. It's a fail sword with a 2 hit combo. High damage or not, it's a big pain in the youknowwhat next to Acheron (which allows you to use charge attack without worry of curse).

@ Monkeyman135: Cheaper prices don't benefit just the wealthy. If more people can afford it, more people benefit. Simple economics that no one wants to try to change because it effects *their* profits.

Hmm... The UV tickets can only be used once, which makes them much less worth the gamble unless they were something that matches say... the crafting price of a 1 or 2 star item??? Right now ONLY the wealthy are able to benefit. I'm not looking to boost profit, CE should be more easily earned so as to reduce the overall greed and price hikes when demand raises. Put a cap on the demand is what I say. We all can understand this with just a little thought, I'm quite sure.

I vote the following prices for UV tickets:
10k crowns for 1
50k crowns for 2
125k crowns for 3

@puregold: It's a free game. Who isn't a free player? I don't understand your comment on this. If you mean the difference between purchasing CE with real money or earning it through game play... I think that has less to do with whether you're *free* and more to do with whether you are gullible for spending your real money. Buying little is one thing, but we all know many "wealthy" players don't "earn" anything. Say what you will about this, it doesn't change that fact.

On a final note on wealth: look at it this way... if a player can afford everything in the game, earned or not... they will then start to build excess wealth. This is going to happen inevitably if you keep playing, and honestly they need to come up either with more exciting territory to explore really soon or they're going to lose tons of players. The prices for things now are pushing toward people who purchase CE with real money. Reducing the price of everything will put the game back toward actually being free to play, because otherwise earning ANYTHING takes forever. Also, let's try not to troll about this matter. If you don't agree, no one will make you, but I have more than good enough reason for my argument.

So, Sleep is useless and whether there are *plans* for its use or not, I'm looking for people to support ridding it from the game. Enough games have the sleep effect, and you know what??? No one likes it. I really can't see a reasonable use for it.
Besides, we already have that effect as described by Cogspin: called LAG.

chrisgillman the wealthy do

chrisgillman

the wealthy do benefit more because they can invest more and sell for more profit ultimately furthering the gap between the wealthy and the poor

@chrisgillman

Eh, sorry. I've only been playing the game for 2 weeks or so. I'm still only equipped with 2* gear. So I'm fairly noob.

Perhaps sleep is one of the effects which last for a time or just until you get hit? Like Freeze? except you can't actually do anything.
