So I read the silversix description and this whole gun priest thing caught my attention...and I wanna make the cold iron vanquisher. So I started making a story about how my guy is kinda like a monster/undead hunter I even got the Black Rose hat...and the ashtail coat to make him look as priestly as I can get atm...(suggestions for that would be cool). And I wanna get the Crest of Almire .

Basicly the summarized story is he was part of a forward search party (for supplies or whatever to prevent the Skylark from crashing ultimately) they crashed on Spiral and he became a member of the Kingdom of Almire. He left on a mission to help some refugees when Lord Vanaduke returned...now he tries to save his flock by putting their souls to rest.

Maybe it's cause I like to RP everynow and then but anyone else have a story/do this?

I should really make a story

I should really make a story about my knight, but he's a good Bomber not good at Swordplay. An accidental bomb placed by him made the core of the Skylark unstable, and he was left with the responsibility of many knights dying from the disabling of the Skylark. More story to come in another thread.

Soldier

No, not really. My knight is a soldier crash landed off of the Spiral Order vessel, Skylar. That's it. However through the power of writing, I can a summary pf my time playing SK into something that closely resembles a story.

Romasanta is a rank and file soldier within the disorganized remains of the military entity that crash-landed on to The Cradle. He landed with the first wave of knights, most commonly known as the Ground Breakers, and after reporting to the warden to receive his orders, cast off his standard issue equipment. Shortly afterward, he developed a passion for cold weapons and swore never to use firearms or explosive of his own volition. He upheld his oath and never held anything but a sword in his hand, until his first encounter with he who would be his most worthy adversary, Lord Vanaduke, king off the fallen kingdom of Almire. He returned to Haven, afterward and with the aid of the Birdsong Company, forged his perplexingly named gun, which to this day stays holstered, its bullets reserved for a single undying foe.

One day the spiral knight

One day the spiral knight Spadger ran out of booze inside his drop pod and pulled the escape hatch handle. That day came to be known as the Monday of Pain as Spadger flung into a berserker rage at the sight of the first jelly cube and begun on his epic (In the original sense of the word, kids) quest to riddle everything he found with bullet holes.

Here's my backstory.
I'm a swordsman and love the caliber series and jelly armor.
one day some idiot set off a bomb in the skylark,I am adding you in my story valor.
Everyone had to go into their pods.I put on hibernation mode on my pod,so I slept for months because somehow my pod got caught in the planet's gravity which sucked. After I crashed I relized I aged about one or two months but that's no big deal.Right after that, someone radioed me in the comm. The man said to report to this rescue camp and sent me the directions.on my way,I met dangerous monsters.I saw these jelly things and lizard things.I killed them with ease but I somehow knew there will be worst. Finally after I got to the camp. The high ranked survivors trained people so we can survive.I took me weeks until I was ready. then I went to a strange place called haven.that's when all my adventures started.

My Knight crash landed on the

My Knight crash landed on the Planet with no memories prior to that. Luckily, the escape pod came with a sword and shield, and some signs outside the pod taught him how to use them (what are the odds?). After wandering around for 3 minutes he find a rescue camp. There he learns about a big ship that crashed and the planet is actually a giant pocket watch.

He's told he has to go to Haven, but the only way there is this dangerous path full of monsters. After an hour without being able to find another exit, he decides to go to Haven and see if he can get a bus ticket for something home. On the way there he got attacked by said monsters. Normally he tries to be kind to animals, but they were just being rude and had to be killed.

Once he gets to Haven, hes met by this strange man that sounds like an old slide show projector. Couldn't understand a word he said. After wandering around town a bit, he talks to another Spiral Knight in the Arcade. There he is told he has to go down an elevator, fight some monsters to retrieve minerals, so they can open up another elevator so they can go down and retrieve more minerals (how depressing is that). When he asked where the bus terminal was, the other knight just went back to looking at a computer screen.

The place was full of knights, and no one knew were the damn bus terminal was. After awhile he gave and up went to see this elevator everyone was talking so much about. Turns out its a pay elevator. Its gotta be something cool if you have to pay right? Wrong. Just monsters trying to kill you everywhere.

Ok, so maybe this Core thing has something useful. So he fights his way down, grabbing new gear as he goes, and when he gets to the core, you know what he finds? Another camp! Worse yet, the LT down there had the nerve to tell him he has to go back up, and keep trying to get more minerals because some gremlins, an industrious, inventive race of engineers couldn't run a damn extension cord from the surface.

So now he gather minerals, waiting for someone to invent a bus or plane or anything so he can go home, take a nap and call his Therapist.

Gunner

My knight started off very poor until he found the auction house. He spent the first two weeks doing nothing but camping outside the auction house and making lots of money.

He looked around and everyone was a wolver, so he knew he had to stand out, so he decided to be a gunslinger! He makes sure he always has money and only after so long he finally spends half of money all in one go to get a 3* set. The next week, he was full 5* and still rich. He loves the auction house and how it made him so rich. It's still only his third week in this planet and he's amassed so many weapons and beaten so many bosses.

Today this gunslinger has become a man and journeyed into the Firestorm Citadel for the first time. Unfortunately, he fought bravely but lost to Lord Vanaduke. But he will be back, with his trusty guns ready and loaded...

Has anyone ever considered

Has anyone ever considered Vanaduke to be this really cool guy that throws bitchin parties? But then this gang of hoodlums show up at his house, destroys his lawn gnomes, kills his party guests, puts out all his fiery party decorations, breaks all his stuff, steals his money, and then gives him a beat down for just being there.

In the ordeal of the crashing

In the ordeal of the crashing ship, a knight known by the name of Kaethis caught one of the earlier escape pods off of the Skylark.

Unfortunately, it was fired at a trajectory that led it into a somewhat stable orbit around the planet. Thankfully, after a few days of trying to get the solar power generators to work in the uncomfortably cold, cramped space in which he now resided, Spiral HQ detected the pod with their scanners, setting up a link with the small craft and managing to get the electric systems working remotely. Now, Kaethis -a rather introverted and deeply thinking individual- occupied himself for the following weeks with studying the combat and scouting reports from the planet side HQ, deliberating on what to do when he finally landed, if ever.

After more than a month in the escape pod, now with rather cramped feet, but feeling satisfied with his second-hand knowledge of the surface events and on the dangers of the planet's internal structure, he simply waited and patiently tried to count the stars in the night sky on his small view screen (of course, this is difficult and somewhat exasperating in a steadily rotating spacecraft).

Suddenly, he felt what must have been an impact by a small piece of debris; after checking to make sure he wasn't dying, he observed that the pod was careering toward Cradle's surface. Bracing himself, the pod drove itself into a pile of dirt. Breaking the hatch of the pod and releasing the seal with an incredibly satisfying "hsss", he felt the wind upon his... Suit systems...
Nimbly, he climbed out, noting a peculiar stench of burning reptile wafting through the air. Assessing the rest of his somewhat on-fire surroundings, he got his bearings and set off, going north. (Heaven knows how he knew which was was North, and that he even had to go North to reach civilization.)

Being what he felt was a fairly accomplished killer, Kaethis found no trouble in wielding the rather shoddy blade and shield contained in the escape pod; the wildlife, to his dismay, were basically provoking him into killing them - at least, that's how he figured it. Several piles of goo and corpses later, he finally came across a small encampment filled with oddly proportioned, poncho-wearing grifters. Disregarding the "Strangers" (he wondered what kind of people even call themselves something like that anyway), he fought his way to Haven and didn't bother looking back. The Knights of Haven welcomed him with cheering, and he stood there watching them, quietly. The knights quickly became bored with trying to talk to him and decided to let Kaethis go about his business, which was how he preferred it to be.

Having sold some bloody animal parts to a surprisingly unquestioning merchant, the knight outfitted himself with a somewhat less cruddy sword and shield combination, and ventured into the Clockworks eagerly.
At first, Kaethis found the monsters to again be simply throwing themselves to their deaths: even the machines and the supposedly intelligent engineers behind their invention were of no match for even simple swordplay. Instilled with a sense of confidence, the young knight travelled deeper and deeper into the Clockworks. This time, he met a group of constructs who looked slightly different than the others of this kind he had seen. Suddenly, one of them threw their head back in a flash of light, and a searing beam of energy surged forward! Kaethis somehow managed to react quickly enough to this first beam, dodging out of the way, but to his dismay the rest of the group entered the fray in a similar fashion... With horrible burns on his left... Suit leg... He began to stumble about sluggishly: he felt this would be the premature end of his fledgling spelunking career.
While being occupied thoughts of how he could have prepared better, a smoky hissing sound interrupted him. All of a sudden, the limbs of the three-eyed constructs began to squeak and lock in place, frozen, helpless. Beyond the cloud of refreshingly cool mist was a knight in an oddly plumed helmet carrying a bomb, who ushered Kaethis towards him. Scrambling away from the vile robots, he watched the knight expertly place bombs around the foes, dodging away from the bright, powerful explosions that followed. All that remained in front of Kaethis were scorch marks and and shrapnel.

The plumed knight approached him. "Tyris, at your service!" The bomber said cheerfully, "I really saved you there, huh?" The knight offered Kaethis his hand and the younger knight painfully brought himself to his feet. "You did." He replied, with a slight, appreciative nod. The bomber patted him on the back, "Let's get you fixed up then, eh?".
At that moment, two other knights, clad in colourful, well worn gear approached. "You ran on ahead again, Tyris!" one in blue shouted, "How many times have we told you to be patient?"
The bomber held a wicked grin on his face and patted Kaethis on the back again: "All with good reason, eh?" he laughed, "I saved me some new fella' out here on his own!"
The other knight, dressed in red garments, presented himself much more sternly than the other two, turned to Kaethis. "You shouldn't be on your own this far down unless you want to get yourself killed, knight."
Kaethis blinked, and once again noted the pain in his leg, with a sharp exhale. A warm smile crossed the sterner knight's face, who the young one felt was the leader of the group: "Come with us. Maybe we can teach you a thing or two." With slight hesitation, Kaethis nodded in agreement, and with that, he and the others (now discovered to be part of a guild) returned to the safety of the surface.

And so begins a long and arduous story of adventure.

EDIT: I just realized how horribly I wrote this... Damn you, early morning.

I'm sick of this fan-fic. My knight follows the backstory we were all given. As for me, I saw a game on Steam that was free to play. It looked good, I downloaded it and started playing. Cool story right? I liked the part where I didn't obsess over myself. :3

Well this turned out more interesting than expected...

@Spadger you got a good point there never seems to be enough booze...especially in escape pods/life rafts/red cross shelters...I mean something tragic just happened...we gotta be able to cope with it somehow.

@starlinvf hmmm never thought about Vanaduke that way...but it is hard to think over the wailing and moaning of all those undead...

@Redfortune you know merchants in general never seem to care too much about anything...especially giving me a good price on things if I ever decided to sell them...honestly they think the offer of 1cr for a blue shard is legit...

@Shoebox ya apparently we all landed in some grouchy old lady's lawn. when you first make a character if you listen closely you hear her yell "Darn kids get off my lawn!" She then pays Brinks (the token vendor) to clean it up with random items she's collected over the years...how else do you explain how he has all those old Antigua's

Man My Old One Was Quite Cheesy. Milesprower wasn't actually part of the first knights who landed on cradle. after the first knights were sent and no one knew where they were they sent him to go investigate the course they took.coincedentally Milesprower ran out of fuel right over cradle and crash landed. he landed on cradle and put his gear on which sadly was only the starter gear so he didnt have any of his gunslinger with him. Milesprower set off to haven and when he got there was greeted kindly he first challenged snorbolax and won and got intereste din the mystery of alpha squad. after that he set off towards jelly king who he lost to the first time just barely making it out of there. armor and helm pieces were broken off of his gear his firotech alchemer out of ammo (the recharger was broken) he made a narrow escape by using his haven teleporter(i think that the spiral kights have a small pocket teleporter that teleports them back to haven if need be) and rested down for a while. he lost to jelly 2 more times. than finally he conquered jelly king and collected the next module. than when the roarmulus twins were revealed he set into the clockworks the first 3 times he lost and got out of there with a lot of cuts and bruises. the fourth time he conquered them and collected the next module. than he went off to face the ultimate challenge. lord vanaduke. the first time he had gotten sliced a lot by vanadukes sword but luckily his armor protected him from most actual damage. the second time he challenged vanaduke again and with the help of jempire(the guild im in) was victorious! he colelcted the next module and went on his way. Milesprower is now re-crafting the gunslinger set and awaiting the next boss so he can solve more of the mystery of alpha squad.

...really coney

Coneycrab I actually gotta agree with Redfortune if you don't like this why bother commenting. I like making stuff up and well the story they force down our throats is rather laking...hell I laughed while reading the responses most put up cause their silly, some are a little serious but silly at points. I just find it kinda interesting...also we are far from obsessing over ourselves.

Things I learned so far the 3rings didn't tell us...
1)A mad bomber wrecked the skylark
2)not enough booze in escape pods
3)vendors don't care about anything
4)you wreck in some old ladies yard and she's getting mad (future boss fight for april fool's day?)
5)Remington's toon has been beaten by the JK one too many times and it apparently made him go crazy and have an un-healthy obsession with guns.

The bad guys

i think we crash landed on this planet and were told by our higher ups to investigate the core by invading the homeland of the inhabitants of this planet steal their crowns and kill their people in order to go down to the core where the higher ups would tell us to go back up so we can repeat the procedure. I only say this because i never read the real story so this is just a story i made up while playing. Lol i think we're the bad guys

Even as a small boy Tuhui always dreamed to go out and see the world but as he grew up he started to realize that he wanted more than the modern world could give him. He'd look at the buildings and the streets and would get sad at the thought of how unnatural the world had become. Then a new hope came one night looking up at the stars, there had to be more worlds out there, there just has to be. So he looked for ways he could get out there, but there were few and even fewer he could do. He was worried that his dream would stop before it started. Nothing seemed right for him. Before he knew it he only had one option left, the Spiral Knights Academy.

He did his best, he learned how to use a sword and how to shoot a gun but his heart seemed to not be in it, it just seemed like he was making no progress. 1 year passed, in his mind he was a sub-par knight, the training seemed to blend together and none of it seemed ot stick, but unknow to him he was ranked in the top 10% of his class. When he learned he graduated and was gonna become an official knight. At first he thought is was a mistake and asked for a confermation, he wasn't just joining he learned that he was going to join the Skylark and be sent out imediatly. He was so happy he nearly wept, he was finaly gonna go out and see another world. He said his goodbyes and soon enough he was on his way to the planet named "Cradle".

He honed his skills on the way to Cradle and he finaly was finally seeing the progress he had made, but he was well aware of how much better the veterains were compaired to him. He swore that he would become one of the best knight so he could help this expetion to the best of his abilities. Before he know it there was jus tone day till landing. He went to sleep wondering waht this place would look like. He wakes up abruptly but is still too tired to grasp waht is going on. There is a siren going off people russing around and running out of sight. Then it hits him something is wrong. He hears a voice through the madness "... to the escape pods. I repeat. The ship is going to crash, go to the escape pods". He rushes to put on and grab his eguipment. The passages of the ship is filled with a mob of knight running to the escape pods. He follows the stream of people and finds his own escape pod and leaves the ship. He can see the Skaylark through the window. This oncebeutifull ship is now on fire with smoke in it's trail. He says goodbye to the ship and thanks it for the for getting him to Cradle and then waits for the trip to be truly over.

He doesn't know when he fell asleep but when he wakes up he can see a tree. He oppens the hatch and gets the first look at the new world around him and smiles, it's just what he wanted. He notices the flares leading down a path and follows it. He ends up at the rescue camp. He looks for a high ranking knight to ask what to do but before he finds one a friend from the shipspots him and runs up to him. "We finaly made it how do you feel?" he says. "I've been better but i feel happy. So what do we do from here?" Tuhui says. "We landed close enough to the town we will stay at that we've been told to go there and wait for further instructions." he says. "Well then let's go" Tuhui says.

There is a crowd of people in the town square when they arive. They end up waiting 2 hours before the knight-commander comes out."Most of you are here already so i will start telling you what we will do from here on out. Though the crashing of the Skylark is unexpected and an inconvience our primary goal for this trip has not change. We will explore this planet, but we have already recevied word that there are unknown dangers below us. we have also receved word that the planet seems to be "alive" and it seems to constantly change, and we believe it hassomething to do with the core of the planet. the core of this planet seems to react to minerals found in the "Clockworks". We decided to call it such because this world seems to be run like a clock, gears turning and every so often it it changes it's self. So you missoion for now will be collect the minerals you find the the Clockworks and bring them up to be studied by our researchers. Though you suits can resist the presure of the core it needs energy. Fourtunatly there is an abundant supply of energy in the atmosphere of this planet. We do not want you to push yourselfs so you are only alowed to go down into clockworks through the elevators we have built for 2 hour periods. Remember that we have a duty to perform but your health comes first and since we are on our own for awile try not to get that hurt. Most of the data i have told you came from the Alfa Squad but we have not heard from them for quite awile now. They are our best so remember that if they have disapeared it could easily happen to you. The Clockworks is definatly a place of danger s obe always prepaired and always have your weapons at the ready. Prefom to the best of your abilitys and serve the order well dismissed."

6 months later... He is relaxing in the grass looking totaly different. You can tell that he has been working hard and has improved greatly. He is looking at the sky but not in the same way he used to, you get the feeling that he has been living his dream every second while here. He gets up and walks through town saying hi to people and walking the road that he has passed many times. He makes his way to the elevators "Going down" he says to the knight on duty. "Yes sir" responds the knight. and you see him disappears into the Clockworks.

My knight actually died in

My knight actually died in the crash. However, the energy of Cradle wouldn't actually let her stay dead. She rose as an animated death knight, swearing to protect both the living and her brother and sister knights from the undead of Clockworks. Haven is too sunny for her, so she hangs out in Moorcroft most of the time. She's got the dread skelly set and a cold iron vanquisher.
