A recent announcement said that an upgrade path for the haze bomb to 5* is in development, i.e. a bomb with the radius of a shivermist or AoA, but inflicting stun status. and all the current haze upgrades will start from 2* instead. Will you use the new 5* stun haze bomb? and for what? It seems strictly worse than the Shivermist in every way I can think of, except maybe the duration of the debuff, and being able to attack the target without breaking the buff. It doesn't seem all that great, but I also know whenever a monster is stunned it makes everything WAY easier.
Will you use the new haze bomb?
stun is a more reliable shock and if you can even mix them both it seems worth it if the dmg is alright. eager to see how it's going to be :)
This could go either way, but there are two situations that I see a great use for this bomb. First, a party of bombers may benefit from slowed enemy movement (as long as the bombers are careful not to desynchronize mobs). A party of mixed bombers and gunners will also like this bomb- the bomber(s) can alternate stun and fire while gunners blast away with pulsars, or stun/nitro plus other guns.
A mixed party of bombers and swordsmen can still benefit due to slowed enemy attack rates, but coordination between swordsmen and has always been the bane of PUGs.
For truly skilled players that pride themselves on how fast they can clear a level, this bomb is unlikely to get much use, much like the Shivermist as it adds little or no damage. But for the less hardcore and more casual players that just want to mosey through a level without needing razor-edged focus, it may be a useful addition to the arsenal.
It will not have the problem of being useless against status-themed monsters, like for example Ash of Agni in FSC or Shivermist in Freeze levels.
Thats an interesting point.. are dust zombies immune to stun?
@Cantor
Nothing is immune to stun.
Nothing.
The best part of this new bomb is that it doesn't conflict with other bombs.
I.E. You can use 5* Stun + 5* Shock, providing better protection from afflicted mobs, as well as increased damage.
