Well...Punch and Vice, i realize, are incredibly busy. But it would behoove them to come up with a way to deconstruct items!! Granted, since energy can neither be destroyed nor created (er..not without a CC?), it would take an equal amount of energy to tear a weapon down as it did to create it. And, surely the original materials would be destroyed in the process.

But wait? Why would one ever wish to do such a thing?

Say one crafts a no UV brandish, then upgrades to Iceburst/fireburst and .... UV V.HIGH SLIME!!!! whoa. What. A. Waste. **not anymore** go run over to the friendly punch and vice, and deconstruct it back to a brandish for 100CE and 1000 crowns. Now you have a perfectly healthy brandish ready to go down the darkened, broken road that is the Acheron's path.

Plus, this would in effect be a 300 ce price tag. 100 ce for the original upgrade. 100 ce to deconstruct. and 100 ce to take it down a better avenue given the true nature unearthed in the weapon/armor.

I do hope that the GMs have thought of this on their own, and considered implementing it. -- And at an accessible cost.

So the weapon would

So the weapon would backtrack, and yet keep the UV it obtained only by upgrading?

Something smells fishy here.

Possible, but I don't think so...

Keeping anything extra like UVs is out of the question. Perhaps if you craft it and before you use it decide it is useless, you can get your stuff back but ONLY the way you had them before.

Like the Fullmetal Alchemist principal of Equivalent Exchange: To get what you lost through equivalent exchange, you must give back what you gained and vice versa. It would be unfair if you kept the UVs from a reverse craft. Then you could just craft and uncraft till you get a lot of UVs. That wouldn't be good...

Kinda missing the point.

It would be cheaper to craft and craft 2 star items then crafting and uncrafting from 2*-3* and back again.

The craft cost up to 3* is 200 ce + crowns. If the deconstruct cost was teh same (and losing mats) that would be MORE EXPENSIVE than just crafting a ton of 2* (50 ce + less crowns). so there would never be an incentive to craft up and down as a method to game the system. It would simply allow for you to make use of an awesome UV if it happened to spawn on a terrible weapon.

So again, if you look at it logically, under no circumstance would you ever want to mass craft/uncraft items. It would just be a useful too for when a desirable UV was gained on a line that it doesnt fit.

Again, another example, upgrade striker to Vile striker get vh Beast? Pay an adaquet price to deconstruct back to striker and go down wild beast blade path.

It was just a thought. Perhaps no one likes it, but i feel the first impressions here were decided without fully understanding the idea (.i.e. under the wrong impression that it would be to your advantage as a way of getting UVs cheaper! which it wouldnt.)
