Right now I have the Wolver head and armor. Should I upgrade them both to the vog or only one and get a diferent head piece to even out resistances. Does it add anything if you have both? What should I get if I need to replace one.

If you play on using swords

If you play on using swords primarily Vog Cub is a good set to have. Also a lot of enemies do normal damage or elemental damage and fire is a common status affliction. There is a reason that Vog Cub is the most common 5 star armor.

So should I keep the helm as well I guess? I do plan on using swords mostly. Right now i'm using the 3 star caliber about to upgrade to 4 star one. Then leviathen. Shield is owlite right now and plan on upgrading it all the way.

Just depends on your play

Just depends on your play style. The ASI: medium from one piece of vog by itself isn't hugely noticeable, but stacking the bonuses from two pieces is. Somewhere there is a thread where someone crunched the numbers on this--I want to say it's about 4% speed increase per level of ASI bonus? Chime in, anyone, if you've got the data. Anyway, if you find you really want the kind of dmg bonus you would get from a piece of skolver, you can also look at crafting up the barbarous thorn shield line.

I don't know antipodes, i think it goes like this

Low = 7%
Medium = 14%
High = 21%
Very High = 28%
Ultra = 35%
Maximum! = 42%

therefore full Vog cub would be 28%.

I think the set up is fine. Some people have a barbarous thorn shield with their vog cub for a damage bonus, but i think an owlite is better.

There are no set bonuses

There are no set bonuses (additional bonuses for wearing a complete set) so feel free to mix it up.

This is the most popular set because the Sword ASI bonuses are really useful since it slightly increases DPS while providing noticeable defensive maneuverability. The resistances it offers are the most important to cover, especially considering that FSC is the only endgame boss at the moment.

The downside of this set is that it is incredibly unoriginal. If you want to start with something that is a sure thing and that you can always fall back on, then full Vog is the right choice. If you want to instead experiment with what you think will most benefit your particular playstyle then go for it :D

@Dilbert77

Those are actually the damage bonus increases. The ASI bonuses offers approximately 4% per level so full Vog (4 levels total) would be approximately 16% increase in speed.

Eeks did a theoretical analysis on Vog's affects here:

There he also has links to the appropriate data threads.
