Free to Play
Other than Spiral Knights, I used to play Wizard 101 a long time ago. Some newer games are Allods Online and Realm of The Titans. Realm of the Titans is currently in beta, but after being invited to play it I highly recomend it.

Try vindictus, its not a free
Try vindictus, its not a free roaming game though, its kinda like spiral knights where you and a party are sent to a set level except you get to choose which level you want to play in and there more interaction in the fights. Just look up some videos see if you like it. Only warning is don't get it mistaken for mabinogi heroes, heroes is the japan version and is much more ahead in content than vindictus.
BUT its free nonetheless and real fun.

My other ride is Vindictus
If you love the old-school action of Spiral Knights, you'll love the intense hack-and-slash combat of Vindictus. It uses the Source engine, so even on lower settings the game looks mighty pretty. The levels are filled with breakables and props, so fights become dramatic with stuff flying everywhere (if you're not picking it up to crush enemies with, but that's more of a guilty pleasure).
The game feels very grindy; around level 20 you'll experience a severe dropoff in new gear acquisition, as you have to start crafting or questing for most of your items. Don't even ask me about crafting professions; you can't learn one until maybe level 30, and you still need to get a substantial amount of materials to make things. With limited inventory space, you can't just amass materials and play the Auction House like you do in Spiral Knights.
The upsides?
- Unlimited daily playtime!
- Boobies!
- Sexy underwear!

Though, none of these games matches SK in terms of overall gameplay. They are great games though.
I play MapleStory, but I warn you, stay away from it, hacks are rampant, half of the community is made up of trolls and the game is just plain boring.

Runescape's actually quite impressive when you consider it's a browser Java game, but the servers are way too congested.
