Interesting fact about three new swords that came with King Krogmo's Coliseum update.

Hey everyone!

I was shocked today when I received the message about server being restarted for the new update that was about to come.

Why was I shocked you ask yourselves? Because when I was reading what was included in the update I found out that the new swords had names of my country's mountains!

*** sword Grintovec:

Description: Your enemies will surely enjoy the cool, refreshing sensation of being hit by a glacier.

**** sword Jalovec:

Description: A shivery sword for knights who think it'd be cool to inflict an avalanche of pain upon their foes.

***** sword Triglav

Description: No stories have been told about this almighty blade, but that's only because people are rarely in the mood to talk after having been crushed by a mountain.

Well I don't know what to say. Designers must be running low on names and they grab already existing names :D

Ah well at least you people will now know why the new swords have strange names!

They are not running out of names... actually they are being smart.
Look in Spiral Knights Wiki the definitins and trivia facts of the troika sword line.
(They are supposed to be russian dances)

(Awesome names by the way, I like the strong accent)

More interesting to me is that the icebrandishTroika line still does full normal damage, while adding the element effect. That's new. Any other weapon that inflicts an elemental status also inflicted elemental damage.

I want to say the Volcanic

I want to say the Volcanic Pepperbox deals normal damage but can set enemies on Fire. It is kinda weird when items work like this though.

Most of those things inflict

Most of those things inflict stun, which is not an elemental status effect.

Fire, Shock, Ice are what I meant.

And most of the others you list there are 1* with no meaningful upgrade path that barely anyone uses at all, ever.

I didn't know about the pepperboxes though.
