I have been playing the game for some time now, and I would like to let here some ideas that I think it could improve gameplay.

-Heat Convertion: When you have nothing to level up, all the heat you gathered will go to waste. Dont you hate when you open one of the energy door expecting some handful of crowns and all you get is heat? I sure do. How about instead of making heat totally useless to people with their things maxed, why not let them have some crowns in return? It would basically transform all unused heat gathered into crowns. Perhaps 5 heat = 1 crown?

-Energy Coins: Energy Coins would be rare-to-drop coins that could give you around 1 to 6 energy, and it would be found depending on the stratum they are found at. Stratum 1 have chance to drop 1 energyworth coins. Stratum 2 have a chance to drop 1 and 2 energyworth coins. Stratum 3 would have 1, 2 and 3, and so on.
I would be nice, and yet it wouldnt hurt the developer's profit (at least I think and hope). If it would be too much, perhaps, 1 to 3 energyworth coins, per tier.

-Preview on AH: Pretty much like the feature on vendors and recipes, let you see how stuff will look on you on the Auction House.

-Item Database: I would love to see a database (ingame or on the wiki) with all the weapons and armor models in 3d. Just like Wowhead's Item and armor database. You make awesome models for the game, why not display them for us not only ingame?

I think that's all the ideas I would like to see in Spiral Knights, and I hope someone out there at least read these. I think it would greatly increase the experience for us (well, for me at least).

There is one last thing I would like to ask the community tho.
I'm not sure if this idea would be good to be put in the game, but perhaps add to Spiral Knights some sort of Character Level System?
Your character slowly grows up as you archive certain things ingame, that wouldnt rely on hours and hours of grinding just to get a level.
Instead, the experience needed to "level up" would be gathered by completing archivements and getting a certain amount of kills of each enemy and reaching new rooms. And these each level gained you could choose a "perk" of some sort that gives you more health or make you better at using certain types of weapons or fighting certain types of enemies.
By killing, lets say, 200 Chromalisks, your character would "realize" this creatures has certain atributes, and it would unlock a small healthbar or something that let you see their health. In higher levels even grant you a Low to Medium bonus damage against these.
By killing bosses and reaching tiers you wouldnt be able to reach before you could unlock new levels.
Something that would give more stuff to do in the game instead of just playing daily to get crowns to buy your equipments.

Uh..

Most of the ideas I agree with. The only thing is the Energy coins...I don't think it'll happen.

I don't think SK will condone anything that will get you energy in-game. I'm asking for a Mist recharge speed increase while offline. I think that is a more realistic suggestion.

Heat use? Definitely. I get soo much heat and have nothing to use it on.

Love this idea, it would give heat some use again +1

the model viewer is a pretty neat idea as well, it would be pretty cool but the wiki does a decent enough job of displaying the armour and weapon models (mostly)

Perks: seems a bit fiddly for my tastes. What would be the perks? And how would you achieve them?
Item Database: The Wiki seems to be doing a good job, now, if only the developers helped out a bit.
Energy Coins: I don't think that would work, seeing as how your post seems to talk about there being at least one enrgy coin per run. How about making it only Mist enrgy coin? No, that would devalue it completely; and yet, a person could farm them until he got 100CE. It all really depends on which type of energy it would give, whether it would still be shared among the party members, ands of course, the rarity of it.

Perks: Lets say, a new

Perks: Lets say, a new character is created, he's a "level 1". From there you receive a list of "archivements" you can do, like kill 50 of each type of creature and reach certain depths in gates. Once do this and manage to beat Snarbolax and reach Tier 2, you complete your level 1 and unlock level 2.
The level 1 would let you pick up a perk from a perk tree. A Endurance Tier 1 Perk would give you a +1 health boost, while Attack Mastery would give you a Damage Increase any Weapons Low. It probably would have more perks to choose from. But besides choosable perk there would be passive skills that you would acquire, like being able to see enemy's health, or have a better resistence to elemental debuffs.
I havent really planned how it should work.

Item Database: The idea is give a wider view on the model. Let the viewer rotate the model to see all the details and all. Obviously not expecting it to happen, but it would be nice to see it implemented.

Energy Coins: As I said it would be rare to find these. I dont think 1 coin found per run would be much. The maximum amount of energy gathered would be 6. If you ever have the incredible luck to find 2 or even 3 on your run the max amout of energy you would come out with would be... 18. That is, considering you did a depth 1 to 28 and all coins were found in tier 3 stratum 6.

Heat Converter: Lets say you get 500 units of heat, and you level up your proto sword to level 10 using 200 units of heat. The other 300 would normally go to waste. With the heat converter, It would turn the 300 unused heat into 60 crowns. The converting would be around 5 heat units => 1 crown.
Depends alot on how the developers consider heat units. Perhaps they could inplement this idea as buyable Heat Converters that would work for 10 days, just like the Extra Weapon/Trinket Slot and the Heat Amplifier.

Meh. fair enough I guess. Balance is all that is needed.

Heat...all of mine went to waste...until I got my new 3* weapons...but still...all that heat...I feel cold...

Perks are already addressed

Perks are already addressed with the Trinket slots. Since experience isn't a part of the overall game, these types of boosts should worked into the equipment system.
