There's been a lot of pvp complaint/rant/suggestion threads out there, so I thought i'd start one central one. Try to keep posts to the latter of those three and be constructive.

– Add a friend option
Right now we can add guildies but not friends, as far as I can tell, and I've had a couple times where i was trying to set up a guild team where we only had 3 people and the option to invite a non-guildy would have been awesome.

– Make the knights' hitbox smaller.
I've had several times where I was standing around the corner from the bomb, apparently safe, but still died from the blast. I'm sure other members can commiserate. I think the problem is the hitbox is close to a full square on the grid, but the knights usually aren't going to be perfectly positioned, so if a toe is in front of a block the game registers it as a hit and kills you. Perhaps fixing the hitbox for the knight isn't the right way to fix this problem, but any sort of solution would make playing the game a lot less unpredictable

Any others thoughts?

When right clicking someone a new "duel" option should appear. If accepted both player would fight against each other.

I definitely agree about the

I definitely agree about the hitbox thing. With the lag compensation on bombs, it is hard enough as is. Tweaking the hitboxes would help.

I also wouldn't mind some indicator as to how far a blast will carry.
Ok, that sounds bad, but hear me out.
As of now, teams can kill their own players. I honestly don't think the SK community can handle friendly fire very well. I have been trapped by team mates many times. Would I like friendly fire off? Yes I [freaking] would. But I don't see that happening.
Another issue is that, due to the camera angle, you can't really see what awaits you at the bottom of the screen. Same issue with Slag Guards in FSC charging up from the bottom. Would I like the camera to pan out more so we can see? Yes I [freaking] would. But I don't see that happening.

So what I would feel would help getting blown up randomly by your team or unseen bombs from below is some sort of flash where something is going to blow up. Maybe like a Retrode's beam? Or maybe just make the last square of where the blast will reach flash for a second.
I know it doesn't really fit the premise of Bomberman (and this is either a rip-off or homage), but with an online game with major latency issues across the board, and a community filled with 12 years olds and people who aren't just very bright, something needs to be done.

it would be nice to know the stats of the other players in team battle at least. i never know how much of a blast radius other players got on their bombs and get caught in the cross fire

- afk timers: it would really

- afk timers:
it would really help if there were some afk timers in the random group battle mode. teammates go afk and you automatically lose because they're feeding the opposite team that's just frustrating.

- hitboxes:
tweaking/fixing hitboxes would be awesome aswell, yes.
it's very glitchy right now and with the latency issues spiral knights has anyway, it's a nightmare sometimes and takes all the fun.

- payout:
in the gap between blast network going live and the problem with queues i can remember seeing the 3 first players being rewarded, now it's only 2.
and also first place's price was around 730 i think and now it's something like 635? did your boss see u're being too generous and demanded re-setting the value?

- token items:
i realize the reason why pvp is even out is so people waste their crowns and eventually more CE is bought, but making the recipes a bit cheaper would be great. i can't stand this bomberman copy and 50 coins is really hitting the fan just for a recipe. (for people who say "just buy it from someone else": no.)

I dunno if it'll mean anything but please make it so that players can't bomb while they're in the invincibility phase after spawning.

Why not change the ranking

Why not change the ranking calculation? By the looks of it, the people who play the longest get the most points. We want to see the most skilled players on top, not the ones that play the most. How about ranking the players based on the kill/death ratio? Or the length of time alive? Or both?

We need to be able to see the whole map as bombs range is so large you get killed by bombs on the otherside of the map, never played a bomberman like this and it doesn't work.

Also you shouldn't lose all your powerups when killed, it leaves you way too far behind and also you can't get them back as once 2 ppl have long ranged bombs they just destroy all the new powerups.

I think powerup bomb range is too powerful, whenever i get lots at the start i win, if i can only find a couple it's a loss, i noticed the winner most of the time is the first to get long ranged bombing.

personal suggestions

First of all, the player focussed camera does not get along with the bomber-man type games, instead the camera should show the whole stadium at all times. Because of short ranged player focussed camera it's impossible to see the bombs below you.

Secondly, the number of players seems to be a bit to much, in my opinion, the players should be able to control how many players you want from 2~8 people. In order to alter the number of players you want there should be a "rooms" where the leader (the one who created a "room") can close available spots, kick people out, and start the battle (of course all three can only happen before the match starts).

the "rooms" are made at the King Krogmo’s Coliseum window/screen (not by moving into another area or place, i.e. no loading) and players should be able to see a list of all the rooms with titles, which the leader is required to fill, and number of people currently "in" that room.

With all the room system, also there should be 1 more ways to join a game along with the current choices (random free-for-all, random team, guild play). Player should be able to select which rooms to join by looking at the "list" I mentioned above.

I think the power ups are pretty ok, the only problem I have is the number of power ups. Every game there is like 15 power ups appearing every 10 sec, that should be fixed so that power ups appear more often by breaking blocks and players should drop at least part of their consumed ups when they die

I think that is the part of the beauty of bomberman type of games. i'm from Korea and there is this famous game called "BnB" (basically bomberman), a part of that game is you don't know the other player's statues and everything in that game works well.

and one thing to add from what I said earlier, I think the color identification system should be more apparent, I often get confused with my team mates
