even with a team of 4 including an expert bomber with shivermist and agni, we can't beat him. He definitely needs to be nerfed because out of around 20 attempts ive only won 3 times.

The problem with jelly king is that success depends way too heavily on whether you can get people to be more aggressive than they ought to be in the rest of the game. More to the point, it depends way too little on whether the players are actually any good at the game.

The Jelly King is harder than Roarmulus, but if you've got people with poison swords and bombs, then the Jelly King is a breeze. I think it's fine. I won it more than lost because of poison.

Royal Minis are hard and need to be nerfed :D
They should either do less damage and have the same amount of health as now, or do the same amount of dmg as now and have less HP.

I have solo'd him with my ascended calibur and it's far easier to solo him then 4 man him, 2 manning is also easier for some reason.
Sometimes people attack the adds and it fails, if everyone attacks the boss and burns him to spin phase it's easy.

It's all scaled. In a 4 man team, they raise the difficulty of the monsters and sometimes the numbers of them to a level where 4 ppl could cope more or less the same as a 1 man team. Same with all other team sizes. JK is probably harder in a 4 man team because you just run over and bash his face in when you fight alone, but in a team he is strong enough that it's supposed to take all 4 ppl to do the same thing you did. But your teammates are probably running around or have weaker weapons or die, or defend a bit much etc etc.
And Foo. I only just got my tempered. So I have only 2 bits of 3* gear -_-. Everyone's tanker than me...
Ya mini jellies are really annoying. They're tiny and I hit them so many times but they have the same endurance as a regular jelly. (Or maybe it's just me...)

There are valid points on both sides of the argument
Once you have the right mix of potions, Vile Strikers, and dps spam, the JK seems really easy.
However, if you don't have the right mix of a team, the JK becomes nigh impossible and can quickly heal its HP to full.
Maybe if OOO made the JK strategy less spam, more skill dependant...

JK's much is about the right combination
it's true that JK runs can't be done without the right combination of gear and team mates. ( I personally think i'm well "educated" for JK runs. I have a vile striker 3-4* gear along with a boosted plate shield) The players new to JKs only runs around and never attacks the boss. Also i find it impossible to beat JK without a minimum of 1 4* gears team mate, or 2 3-4* gear team mates both with well educated (?) team.
I really do think the minijellys' health and damage should be nerfed a bit, and the spawning rate should be lower too.

AT present it seem like the most effective strategy is ATTACK JK!!!!!!!!! DONT CARE ABOUT DEFENSE! Etc...
I got pwned cause I was trying to stay alive AND deal damage. Trying to be tactical get you nowhere in this game. All you have to do apparently is just attack the main guy as fast as you can.
Spam attack shouldn't be so effective... That leaves the tactical people with nothing...
Least Snarbolax gives me something to work with. Spam cannot help you there! MWAHAHA!

As long as you mean no offense, I'll take no offense. You're probably right, I do pretty much suck. So I usually solo levels to try and up my own skill and for bigger profits. Not to place blame either, but i really need better gear too. Only 3* stuff I have is a new tempered calibur and Magnus.

Did you just say ash and shivermist, because those 2 are terrible combined. They negate each other and make for a bad time. (i'm surprised that no one else saw this.)
You just have to have a team that knows what it's doing, like what the people said before me. RJ has a specific plan that you have to follow or you probably won't win. You have to hit him hard and fast, keeping him poisoned also helps. I haven't tried him solo in a while but i found when i did that i just wound up dead alot and the only way i could do him was in a party, but then again this was like in April. Even tho i don't like doing the battle, i find it's just a waste of time and ce, I know how the battle is supposed to work and have not failed for around 5 times in a row, mabye more mabye less, but if you don't have a good team(bacicaly noobs at this point) you probably won't win.

probably should put some helpful tips after my .... Harsh words :P
1) do not mind any of the other jellies. Go straight for the king and whack away. Only pause to block for that half second when the king spins as that does deal quite a lot.
2) freeze isnt all that helpful except for at the beginning. If u freeze in the middle of the round, it'll create an obstacle course of frozen jellies.
3)a curse vial,mecha knight,poison vial/weapon will help TREMENDOUSLY.
4)as some other person stated, with 4 people, the jelly king has 16x health as when ur fighting alone. Which means everyone has to put in 100%. Instead of letting one person attempt to kill him and die.
5) no im serious. Dont even give the little jellies a look. Go straight for the king.

No wonder I never win. I always play the strategist and try to kill everything to help my survival. Even my little brother beat him b4 me...he has a few really pro friends. One guy one-manned him after the other three died.

Difficulty level
hmmm, I actually found jelly king quite hard when I started. I didn't try properly until I was 4*. Some people say it's like a beginner third tier boss but it's not. Because it's not that difficult once you know how to beat him. Same as twins, you dn't die easily but it took a little bit of thinking to know how to play it.
It's a t2 boss because t2 is not the hardest tier. To beat the king, you got to be agressive, hitting him at any opportunity, which is how most t2 players play. T3 actually requires you to be defensive, shield more and play safe.

I've fought JK maybe 10 times
I've fought JK maybe 10 times and have only won bout 4 times. That's after everyone having to revive a few times to.
Snarbolax is perfect for people with tier 1 equipment, Roarmulus Twins is perfect for people with tier 2 equipment, and same for Vanaduke and tier 3. Jelly King though is like for people with 4 star equipment.
I think if you could at least reduce the number of mini jellies (cause I can't hardly get to the boss because of them anyways) it'd probably make Jelly King perfectly fine.

Oh yeah. Just heard, Regenerating blocks hurt him 2. Keep him on those blocks if u can while mashing his face in with your sword. sounds fun. I might try it...
